Tapo C840 2K 4MP Baby Monitor
Product description
This dual‑lens baby monitor combines a telephoto 1080p lens for facial detail with a wide‑angle 2K 4MP view to cover the nursery and track movement. It suits parents who want continuous room coverage and clearer close‑ups for checking expressions and sleep patterns. The long opening explains intended use and highlights baby tracking and night vision, and it mentions baby cry detection as a key feature.
Highlights
The Tapo C840 aims to reduce worry around night checks by offering full 360° coverage and automatic smart motion tracking. It keeps the infant in frame as they move, and according to the manufacturer it sends covered‑face alerts so carers are informed if the baby’s face becomes obstructed. Two‑way audio allows calm reassurance from another room, and the unit works with Alexa and Google Home for hands‑free checks. 🍼

What you’ll notice day to day
Image clarity changes with zoomed views, so close facial details are clearer using the telephoto lens while the wide‑angle keeps the whole room visible. Night checks are possible without disturbance thanks to non‑visible infrared night vision. Alerts for covered faces and virtual safety fence boundaries add practical safeguards as a baby learns to move about.
Everyday use
It’s a good fit if you want active room monitoring with neat close‑ups for facial cues, support for voice‑assistant integration, and local storage without subscription. You’ll appreciate the quiet night vision and the automatic tracking when the child rolls or crawls. It might not be a great match if you need outdoor use or a monitor that links multiple rooms without additional units, as the focus here is a single indoor nursery camera.
