Supet Dog Cone Collar soft pad, size S

This soft-edged recovery cone from Supet helps prevent dogs from licking wounds after surgery or injury, offering extended coverage compared with donut-style collars. It combines a clear, lightweight cone with an optional soft pad to make rest and healing more comfortable for puppies and adult dogs alike.

Key Points

The cone provides a larger protective barrier so pets cannot reach surgical sites, skin treatments or general wounds, which can help reduce the risk of re-injury. The clear PVC body improves visibility and, according to the manufacturer, is around 30% clearer than standard plastic, which may reduce anxiety in some animals. 🐾

Adjustable Velcro straps allow a secure fit and the design avoids inflation, so there is no need to worry about leaks or constant re-inflation. The included soft cushion can be attached to transform the cone into a padded collar that offers a gentler edge against the neck and can double as a small head cushion during rest. 🛏️

Comfort features include fabric-wrapped edges to prevent scratching and a breathable double-layer pad that aims to keep the dog cooler than traditional rigid cones. Consider choosing a longer size if your pet has rear-leg injuries, as extra length improves protection for hard-to-reach areas.

Usage Recommendations

Measure the neck circumference and the distance from the neck to the nose before selecting a size to ensure correct fit. For dogs with long limbs or rear injuries choose a longer cone to block access to hind paws. Attach the soft pad when you want a gentler contact surface for resting or if the dog shows signs of irritation from a firm edge.

If your pet is anxious with new headwear introduce the cone gradually, offering calm reassurance and short supervised sessions to help them acclimatise. Note that, according to the manufacturer, the cone is made from lighter PVC to balance visibility and strength, but extremely strong chewers may still damage the material.
