Shark BreatheClear HP062UK Compact Air Purifier with NeverChange6 Filter

For anyone looking to improve air in a small room, the Shark BreatheClear Compact Air Purifier combines particle filtration with automatic sensing. Its sensors scan the air 3,600 times per hour and adjust power when movement or increased pollutants are detected. A NeverChange6 filter is designed to need no changes for up to six years*. The Dove colour gives this compact purifier a discreet look for everyday use.

At a glance

The BreatheClear uses a HEPA filter that exceeds HEPA filter standards, capturing 99.98% of particles***, including dust, pet dander, pollen and mould spores. This makes it relevant for rooms where these particles are a concern, while automatic sensing helps the purifier respond as conditions change rather than relying only on manual adjustments.

Motion detection boosts purification when activity is detected, and the unit dims in low light. Together, these features adapt its operation to the room: it can respond to movement during the day and reduce its brightness when the space is darker. The included Debris Defence washable filter adds a practical maintenance step alongside the main filtration system.

Size & fit

This model is intended for small-room coverage. It suits buyers looking for a compact purifier for a more contained space, rather than a unit selected for coverage across a larger area. A bedroom or another small room can be a practical setting: the particle filtration addresses common airborne particles, while automatic sensing responds to movement or a rise in pollutants.

Compared with a purifier that relies on regular filter replacements, the NeverChange6 design offers a different approach: it is specified for up to six years without filter changes*. That can appeal to people who want filtration with less frequent attention to the main filter. The washable Debris Defence filter provides a separate, reusable part of the included filtration system.

How to use it

Use the purifier in a small room where you want air filtration, and let its sensors adjust power in response to detected movement or increased pollutants. The motion response is useful in an occupied space, while low-light dimming helps keep the display less prominent when the room is dark. For routine care, the included Debris Defence filter is washable, the NeverChange6 filter is designed for up to six years without changes*.

What to clarify

How often does the NeverChange6 filter need changing? It is specified to require no filter changes for up to six years*. This is the key distinction for anyone comparing it with purifiers that use routinely replaced filters.

Which particles does it capture? The HEPA filter captures 99.98% of particles***, including dust, pet dander, pollen and mould spores.

How does automatic sensing respond to the room? The purifier scans the air 3,600 times per hour and adjusts power when it detects movement or increased pollutants. Motion detection can boost purification, while low-light detection dims the unit.

Buying verdict

The Shark BreatheClear HP062UK is suited to buyers who want a compact purifier for a small room, with automatic responses to activity and changes in pollutants. Its particle capture figures, low-light dimming and NeverChange6 filter design make it a practical choice for everyday air filtration where reduced attention to filter changes is a priority.
