Salter Mechanical Bathroom Scale 133 kg ⚖

This analogue bathroom scale offers a straightforward way to monitor weight at home, with a large dial and magnifying lens for easier reading. The Salter mechanical design measures up to 133 kg and operates without batteries, making it a low-maintenance choice for daily use.

Key Points

The scale is engineered for simplicity and reliability, showing weight in kilograms and stones on a prominent, easy-to-read indicator. The magnifying lens helps users with limited vision to see the numbers clearly, reducing the need to crouch or lean forward. A non-slip mat is included to keep the scale stable on both carpeted and hard floors, and the powder-coated steel platform delivers a clean white finish that blends with most bathroom decors. This is a mechanical bathroom scale that requires no batteries, so it is ready to use straight away and remains functional during power outages. Note that, according to the manufacturer, readings are analogue and may require occasional recalibration for the most accurate results.

Benefits

The mechanical mechanism offers a tactile sense of operation that many users prefer over digital screens, and the large display reduces eye strain when checking weight. With a compact platform, the scale fits easily into small bathrooms or hallways without occupying much space. Because it does not rely on electronics, it can be more durable in humid bathroom environments than some digital alternatives. The steel platform with powder coating is straightforward to clean, and the included non-slip mat helps prevent movement during use, which can improve the consistency of readings. One limitation to consider is that analogue scales can show small fluctuations between readings more noticeably than high-resolution digital models, so they are better suited to general tracking rather than precise medical monitoring.

Usage Recommendations

Place the scale on a flat, even surface for the most consistent measurements, and avoid tilting while stepping on or off. If you use the scale on carpet, the non-slip mat should be positioned beneath the platform to help stability. For clearer readings, stand still in the centre of the platform and check the dial at eye level through the magnifying lens. If you notice drift in the indicator, consult the user information from the manufacturer for instructions on how to recalibrate the mechanism. 🧾⚪.
