Rioddas External CD Drive USB 3.0 5Gbps 📀

This slim external CD/DVD drive from Rioddas is a compact optical drive for laptops and desktops, offering plug and play convenience and faster transfers for everyday media tasks. It suits users who need a portable rewriter for occasional burning, playback and file access, while keeping a low profile on a desk or in a bag.

Key features

The drive connects over USB 3.0 and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.0, which means quicker data transmission when your host supports it, according to the manufacturer. It includes an embedded cable to reduce the chance of losing leads and a brushed texture shell that resists marks and looks tidy. An eject button is fitted so discs can be removed easily without software intervention. 🎧

Usage tips

Plug it into a free USB port and the drive is recognised automatically, so there is no separate power adapter or driver required for supported systems. It makes sense if you often need to play DVDs or burn discs occasionally, or if your laptop lacks a built‑in optical drive. You may want to skip it if you never use optical media and prefer purely cloud or flash storage.

What’s included

The pack comes with the external drive and the integrated USB cable, ready to use out of the box. The design keeps the cable neatly attached so you do not have to carry extras when travelling.
