Ring Spotlight Cam Pro Battery 1080p security camera
Product description
This wireless outdoor security camera from Ring combines clear 1080p HDR video with motion-activated spotlights to monitor driveways, patios and entryways with improved visibility and situational awareness. It records colour night vision and two-way audio so you can see and speak to visitors at your door while using the 3D Motion Detection and Bird's-Eye View to pinpoint where activity started.
Key Points
The Spotlight Cam Pro runs on a quick-release battery pack that is included and can accept a second pack for extended runtime. Motion-activated LED spotlights and an adjustable brightness control help illuminate outdoor areas when needed, and the built-in siren adds an audible deterrent. Live View, instant notifications and Two-Way Talk with Audio+ are available without a subscription according to the manufacturer, while video recording and sharing require a Ring Protect plan, which is sold separately and includes a 30-day free trial with purchase.
Technical Specifications

- Video resolution: 1080p HD with HDR
- Connectivity: Dual-band WiFi
- Motion detection: 3D Motion Detection with Bird's-Eye View

Benefits
Using the aerial-style Bird's-Eye View helps you see exactly where motion was detected, which can reduce false alarms from distant or irrelevant movement. Colour Night Vision retains more detail after dark compared with monochrome infrared, making it easier to identify faces and objects. The system is designed to integrate with other Ring devices, allowing you to create an affordable alternative to a traditional wired CCTV installation by linking multiple cameras and synchronised alerts.
Usage Recommendations
Install the camera at a height that gives a clear view of the area you want to cover and aim the spotlights so they illuminate paths or entrances rather than shining into neighbours' windows. If you expect frequent triggers, consider adding a second quick-release battery or a solar panel to maintain continuous coverage. Note that recorded footage and extended features depend on a Ring Protect subscription according to the manufacturer, and integration with voice assistants requires a compatible Alexa-enabled device.
