Philips Shaver Series 5000 S5466/18 50 min
Product description
The Philips Series 5000 S5466/18 is a wet and dry electric shaver that aims to balance comfort and convenience for everyday grooming. It uses ComfortTech self-sharpening blades and 360° contour heads to follow facial lines, helping reduce irritation while trimming closely. If you search for a reliable daily shaver, this model offers up to 50 minutes of cordless use after a one hour charge and a quick five minute boost for a single shave.
Key features
The shaver combines flexible heads that pivot to match facial contours with curved blade caps that cut gently above skin level, according to the manufacturer. A click-on SmartClick precision trimmer is included for tidy moustache and sideburn maintenance. The body has a non-slip rubber grip and is fully waterproof, so you can use it dry or with foam or gel. An advanced display shows battery in three stages and charging status, which helps avoid surprises when packing for travel.

Getting the most from it
Use short, circular motions when shaving to let the 360° heads follow curves with minimal pressure, and rinse the head under running water after use to keep performance steady. It’s a good fit if you value a simple, low-fuss routine with both dry and wet options, and worth considering if you want an easy-to-grip shaver with a separate trimmer for neat edges.
Care & maintenance
Rinse the shaving heads after every use and allow them to dry before storing in the pouch. Replace the official SH50/50 shaving head as recommended by Philips to maintain cutting efficiency. Note that for heavier beards you may need more frequent passes, which can affect battery life.
