OFFO Bird Spikes High for Anti Pigeons – 10cm High, 24m Coverage, Black
Product description
What this is
OFFO Bird Spikes High are a humane deterrent designed to stop medium and large birds from landing on ledges, windowsills, roofs and fences. Built with higher spikes than some budget options, they aim to create an unfriendly landing area without harming animals.
Who it’s for
If you’re dealing with persistent pigeon or bird mess around windows, balconies, gutters or fences, and you want a non-lethal, maintenance-friendly solution, this set could fit. It’s pitched as a versatile, do-it-yourself deterrent that can be cut to length and installed in multiple spots.
How it works in practice
The spikes imitate thorny plant structures, making perching awkward and preventing birds from settling. The design prioritises a humane approach by discouraging nesting and roosting rather than injuring animals. The 10 cm height provides a barrier that can address medium to larger birds, especially in exposed or windy spots.
What stands out day to day
Compared with lower-profile options, the higher spikes can cover more vertical space and deter birds from landing in areas where they tend to perch. The base is described as flexible, bendable and easy to cut, which helps when you need to fit odd shapes on windows, ledges or fences.
What may not convince everyone
Some users may prefer a more discreet look, as the spikes will be visible from below. The success of deterrence also depends on installation quality and regular maintenance, if the base isn’t secured properly, wind or debris could affect performance. While the material is claimed to be weather-ready from -20°C to 80°C, extreme conditions could still require periodic checks.
Suitable use cases
Ideal for standard windows, rooftops, gutters, balconies, ledges, fences or any bird-prone areas with droppings. If you’re trying to avoid mess without resorting to traps or chemicals, this is a straightforward option.
When to buy and when to pause
Consider purchasing if you need a reusable, cut-to-fit deterrent that works across multiple spots and you want a humane solution. If you’re in an area with very aggressive roosting birds or you need a more aesthetic solution, you might want to assess alternatives or combine with other deterrents.
What to check before buying
- Confirm the length you need aligns with your space and whether you’ll need to join multiple segments.
- Plan for secure mounting, the product is described as durable and weather-resistant, but proper fixing is essential.
- Check installation instructions to ensure you can apply the base to curved or uneven surfaces.
