Why it makes sense
The Nova Mini combines a familiar streaming interface with laser illumination, so you get consistent colour and contrast without juggling external dongles. Google TV gives access to major services including Netflix and Prime Video, and Google Cast lets you mirror content from a phone or tablet. Note that manufacturer figures describe the maximum screen size as 150 inches which depends on ambient light and throw distance.
Best use cases
Its under-2-inch profile and roughly 3 lb weight mean the projector is easy to carry between rooms or to a friend’s garden. USB-C PD support allows powering from a suitable power bank for short sessions away from mains power. If you prioritise effortless setup, Intelligent Screen Adaptation features like autofocus and auto keystone reduce fiddling and save time.
Getting the most from it
You’ll like it if you value a compact, self-contained projector that handles streaming with minimal extras. It makes sense to use it in dimmer environments to get the best perceived brightness and contrast. For louder gatherings, connect Bluetooth speakers or pair it with a small soundbar to improve audio reach.
Compatibility
Google TV and Google Cast ensure broad app support and easy casting from most Android and iOS devices, while Bluetooth audio opens options for external speakers. Keep in mind some smart features require a network connection and account logins for streaming services.
