Moonkie Suction Plate Baby 3-piece weaning set 🍽

This set of three Moonkie suction plates with matching spoon and fork is designed to help toddlers practise self-feeding with less mess. The silicone divided plates include a sturdy suction base to hold them in place on flat surfaces, making mealtimes calmer and reducing spills while offering microwave and dishwasher-safe convenience.

Key Points

The three-piece weaning set includes three colour-coordinated silicone plates, one spoon and one fork, plus a silicone cover for storing leftovers. The divided plate layout helps separate foods and encourages exploration of different textures. According to the manufacturer, the silicone used is food-grade and free from BPA and common heavy metals, so it does not retain chemical odours. The suction system uses four anchors around the base to keep the plate stable; if one point releases the others remain attached which gives carers time to intervene. The spoon and fork have ergonomic shapes suitable for small hands and internal curved corners that make scooping easier.

Usage Recommendations

Warm food briefly in the microwave if required, ensuring the temperature is suitable for a child before serving. The suction works best on clean, flat surfaces; wipe the surface and the suction base before use to improve adherence. The silicone cover is intended as a dust protector and for short-term storage of leftovers rather than as a leakproof transport lid, so place it accordingly. Consider that very textured or uneven tables may reduce suction effectiveness and that extremely hot food should be allowed to cool slightly to protect the plate and the child.

Positive Aspects

The non-slip design reduces plate overturning and encourages independent eating, which can help develop fine motor skills over time. The material is flexible yet durable, resisting cracks and breakage that can affect rigid plastic sets. Colours are muted and modern, which some parents find less distracting during meals. As a practical detail, being dishwasher safe saves time after busy mealtimes. One nuance to note is that heavy tugging by older toddlers may eventually overcome the suction, so supervision remains advisable.
