Liebssen 64GB Digital Voice Recorder with One-Button Recording
Product description
What it is
The Liebssen 64GB Digital Voice Recorder is a compact, all-metal dictaphone designed for capturing lectures, interviews and meetings with minimal fuss. It centres on straightforward operation: a single switch handles recording and saving, while a lock function helps prevent accidental stops during important moments.
Why it might matter
On paper, the device promises long recording sessions thanks to a large internal memory and USB‑C charging. It supports up to 110 hours of continuous recording on a full charge and can store up to 48 hours of 3072 Kbps HD audio. This makes it a practical tool for students, journalists or professionals who need reliable, hands‑free capture without fiddling with menus.
What stands out
The combination of one‑button simplicity, high bit rate and a robust metal body gives it a straightforward use case: quick capture when ideas fly and easy review later. The inclusion of an external microphone input expands use cases beyond the built‑in mic, helpful for crowd noise or distance recording. It also doubles as a portable MP3 player for reviewing material on the move.
Strengths and caveats
It’s easy to operate in real‑world situations, especially where you don’t want to fuss with settings. The lock feature helps protect against accidental gaps in your recording, which is a genuine convenience. However, the device relies on its own internal memory and a Micro SD expansion, if you prioritise micro‑management of audio quality across varied environments, you may wish to test how well its noise reduction performs in your typical setting.
Who it’s for
If you prioritise quick, reliable recording with minimal setup, this recorder suits students attending lectures, journalists on field interviews, or staff capturing meetings. The ability to save while recording and to use an external mic broadens its applicability in real life.
Who it isn’t for
If you rely on advanced editing features, extensive file formats beyond MP3, or professional studio‑grade noise management, this device may not cover all those needs. If you expect a long list of on‑device enhancements, you might find it lean in software features.
When it makes sense to buy
Consider this model when you want a compact, durable recorder that starts recording with a simple switch, offers substantial on‑board memory, and can be charged via USB‑C. It’s a practical option for on‑the‑go note capture where simplicity and durability matter more than a wide feature set.
What to check before buying
- Confirm the Micro SD expansion capability fits your storage needs.
- Consider where you’ll use it: foam‑free environments will benefit from the HD audio and noise reduction, but in extremely noisy contexts you may still notice limitations.
- Check battery life in typical usage to understand the drop‑off across bit rates and screen usage.
Practical usage example
Imagine you’re recording a university lecture. You flip the switch to REC, then later use the fast‑forward/rewind while reviewing key slides. The lock function stays engaged during a wind‑down of the lecture. If you later need a quick reference, you can slot in an external mic for a follow‑up interview outside the lecture hall.

Final verdict
Is it worth it? It makes sense if you value quick capture, robust build and a straightforward workflow without a feature‑heavy interface. It may not be the best option if you need advanced editing, multiple file formats, or very aggressive noise control in challenging environments.
