Huntboo Escape Proof Dog Harness (Teal, XS) — Reflective Front & Back Clip Harness with Handle

What it is and what problem it solves

The Huntboo Escape Proof Dog Harness in XS is a breathable, durable vest-style harness designed to reduce pulling and prevent escapes. For small dogs that tend to slip out of harnesses or dart into traffic, the combo of a belly strap and a front clip helps keep your pet secure while still allowing freedom of movement for walking, training or jogging.

How it fits and feels

This XS size covers neck 24cm–35cm, chest 25cm–42cm, and belly 24cm–40cm, with five adjustment points and four quick-release buckles. The design focuses on a snug, customisable fit that can accommodate a growing pup and a touch of stretch if needed. The mesh fabric is breathable to help your dog stay comfortable on longer outings, while the full-body reflectivity enhances visibility day and night.

What stands out on a practical level

Two metal clips at the front and back provide solid anchorage. The front chest D‑ring helps to redirect pulling, reducing resistance when you guide your dog. A sturdy handle on the top simplifies lifting over low obstacles or giving a quick assist in crowded or tricky surroundings. The outfit is made from robust nylon, built for daily use across seasons, not just occasional walks.

Comfort vs. control trade-offs

No harness is perfect for every dog, and escape-proof features can add bulk. This model aims to balance security with comfort, using breathable mesh and careful strap placement to minimise chafing. If your dog is exceptionally wriggly or has a pronounced barrel chest, you may need to reassess fit and allow a short adjustment period.

Who it’s for and who it isn’t

It suits small dogs that require extra security and visibility, especially during night walks or in busy areas. It’s a reasonable option if you prioritise escape prevention, controlled handling, and a hands-on lifting aid. If your dog rarely pulls or you’re after a lightweight, ultra-minimal harness, this may feel more substantial than necessary.

When it makes sense to buy

Choose this harness if you value a front-clip redirection option, a robust handle for quick assistance, and full-reflective coverage for safety in low light. It’s a practical everyday option for training, walking and outdoor activities where extra control is beneficial.

Things to check before buying

Verify the size range truly matches your dog’s measurements, especially around the neck and chest, and ensure you can achieve a secure, comfortable fit with the five adjustment points. Inspect the stitching, metal clips, and D‑rings for signs of wear. If your dog tends to chew, consider durability notes and potential wear on contact points.

How it compares to broader options

In practice, this vest-style with front and back clips is more secure and controllable than simple slip-ons or back-clip designs for dogs prone to pulling or escaping. If you prefer a lighter, simpler harness, or your dog is very small with a narrow torso, you might opt for a different cut. The inclusion of a handle and a full reflective body makes it a sensible middle-ground between everyday usability and extra safety features.

Usage example — a concrete scenario

Imagine a dusk walk near a busy street. You clip the front ring for gentle redirection as your small dog starts to pull, while the back clip offers extra security on steeper hills. The padded handle lets you guide them over a curb or lift over a gate, and the reflective material keeps you visible as car headlights approach.
