Product description
What it is
DREAMIES Chicken Cat Treats come as two large Mega Tubs, each holding 350 g of dual-texture cat snacks. The formula is designed for cats that respond to reward moments, with a crunchy exterior and a soft interior that many felines find irresistible. The product is promoted as containing vitamins and minerals, aiming to make giving treats a small, nutritious moment in a daily routine.
How it works
On the surface, these are bite-sized chicken snacks that cats lick up quickly. The outside crunch paired with a softer inside is meant to strike a balance between texture and flavour, which can help with training or simply rewarding good behaviour. The manufacturer notes a calorie count of 2 per treat, which could help you manage daily portions across different cats or ages, including kittens.
What stands out
On paper, the dual-texture concept is interesting for cats that prefer variety in texture. The idea of a bulk multipack is practical for households with more than one cat or for owners who like bulk purchases to reduce trips to the shop. The variety of intended use—inside rewards during play, training, or as occasional treats—appears aligned with a pragmatic approach to pet care.
What may not convince everyone
No product is perfect for every cat. While the texture and flavour profile suit many felines, some cats can be picky and may prefer different textures or flavours. The claim of vitamins and minerals is helpful, but it’s only one part of a broader diet. If your cat has specific dietary needs or allergies, you’ll want to review the ingredient list carefully. Also, the bulk format means you’re committing to a larger quantity before you’ve confirmed consistent acceptance by your cat.
Who it’s for
This product is likely to appeal to cat owners who value an easy daily reward and want a bulk option to keep in stock. It suits households with multiple cats or those who want predictable portion control, given the stated 2 calories per treat and a practical daily cap.
Who it isn’t for
If your cat is very particular about texture, or if you’re avoiding any chicken-based treats, this may not be the right choice. For kittens, the guideline suggests a lower daily amount, but always align with your vet’s advice if you have a very young or underweight cat.
When it makes sense to buy
A bulk tub approach makes sense if you know your cat enjoys the texture and taste regularly, and you want a convenient, long-lasting supply. If you’re just trying out a new treat type, you might want to start with a smaller quantity to confirm your cat’s preference.
Before you buy
Check the ingredients for any potential sensitivities, and consider your cat’s daily calorie intake. The stated 2 calories per treat helps with portioning, but you’ll still want to track how many you offer daily, especially if you have more than one cat.
Practical use case
Imagine rewarding your cat after a training session or during playtime: a quick shake of the tub, a couple of treats, and you’ve got their attention back. The bulk format means you won’t be refilling as often, which can be convenient for busy households.
Context and alternatives
For some cats, a single-flavour, smaller pack can be more flexible to trial. If you’re balancing variety with budget, the Dreamies line often provides several varieties, but you’ll need to compare flavours and prices to determine the best value in your home.
