BACHGOLD Water Filter Straw for Camping, 70 cm Hose, 2-Stage Filtration

Key features

Some outdoor trips call for water you can drink at the source, rather than carrying your entire supply with you. The BACHGOLD water filter straw is designed for that job: its 70 cm silicone hose lets you drink directly from streams and lakes, while the two-stage filter treats the water as you drink.

Electroadsorption and activated carbon work together to remove 99.99% of viruses, bacteria and protozoa. The process needs no electricity or chemicals, making the straw a practical addition to camping equipment, hiking gear and emergency kits. Its pocket-sized format is easy to pack, and the shock-resistant ABS housing is made for outdoor use.

Tips for day-to-day use

The hose gives you reach when a water source is close to the ground, so you can drink without lying face-down or using a pump. For a hiking break, for example, place the hose into a stream or lake and drink directly through the straw. This direct-from-source approach can suit people who would rather carry a compact filter than rely solely on stored drinking water.

The straw is also intended for emergency use, including power cuts. Because filtration does not require electricity or chemical treatment, it can be kept ready in a camping pack or emergency kit. Its neutral-taste water claim is another useful detail for anyone planning to use it on longer outings.

Getting the most from it

Keep the filter with your outdoor essentials so it is available when you reach a suitable water source. The 70 cm silicone hose supports direct drinking from streams and lakes, while the two-stage design combines Ahlstrom electroadsorption with activated carbon. There are no replacement cartridges required, and the filter is rated for up to 500 litres, making it suited to repeated use across trips or as part of an emergency setup.

The ABS housing is described as shock-resistant, which makes the straw a sensible choice for equipment that travels in a pack. With no electricity or chemicals needed, it offers a straightforward way to access treated drinking water while hiking, camping or preparing for an emergency.
