SmarTect Tempered Glass Screen Protectors for Garmin Edge 1040/1040 Solar, 3-Pack, 9H
Product description
The 0.3 mm tempered glass is designed to add a clear layer over a Garmin Edge 1040 or 1040 Solar display, helping guard against scratches and everyday knocks while keeping the screen visible.
Three protectors are included, so the pack gives you replacements if one needs to be removed or damaged. The glossy finish and high touch sensitivity are intended to keep the display easy to use.
There is one fit detail to bear in mind: on a curved device, the glass covers only the horizontal surface. It is not a full wraparound cover.

The clear glass is intended to preserve the display’s original appearance, while its oleophobic coating helps reduce fingerprints, dirt and grease marks. The 9H rating indicates the stated surface hardness, it should not be taken as a guarantee that the screen cannot be damaged. For everyday use, the practical appeal is a rigid, clear protector rather than a flexible film. A TPU film is the more flexible approach for curved displays, while this glass leaves the curved area uncovered.
Who it’s for
This pack suits someone looking to protect a Garmin Edge 1040 or 1040 Solar screen from the marks that can build up during regular handling. For example, fitting a protector before taking the device out for a ride can add a replaceable barrier between the display and everyday contact. Its clear finish is suited to buyers who want to keep the screen visible rather than choose a privacy or matte finish.
A solid pick if you want several glass protectors and a cleaning kit in one pack. It might not be a great match if you need coverage over the curved parts of the device: the supplied information specifies coverage of the horizontal surface only. If full coverage around a curved display matters more than a rigid glass layer, a flexible film is a different approach to consider.
Included in the pack
The pack contains three screen protectors, three wet wipes, a microfibre cloth, two anti-dust stickers and an instruction manual in English. The wipes, cloth and stickers are there to help clean the display and manage dust before application, the product information describes the installation as bubble-free when used with the included kit. Taking time to clean the screen before fitting should help avoid trapping dust beneath the glass.
Should you buy it?
Choose this SmarTect pack if your Garmin Edge 1040 or 1040 Solar is the intended device and you want a glossy, clear tempered-glass layer with replacements included. The stated 9H hardness and anti-fingerprint coating speak to surface protection and day-to-day handling, rather than complete coverage of every curve. If the horizontal screen area is what you want to cover, the three-piece format and supplied cleaning accessories make the pack relevant, if you need protection across curved edges, its stated fit is the deciding drawback.
