Janod J03317 Pull-Along Wooden Tractor with Silent Wheels and Farm Accessories

Take the farm along on a toddler’s first walks: the Janod pull-along tractor combines movement with simple animal-feeding play. A cotton cord lets little ones pull it along as they explore their surroundings.

The wooden set includes a tractor with a detachable trailer, a sheep, a chicken and four hay bundles. Children can load the trailer and bring the feed to the animals, giving the tractor play a clear, hands-on focus.

For a toy centred on movement, the pull-along design offers a practical alternative to a farm playset that stays in one place. Its animals and trailer also make it easy to pause for imaginative play.

Getting the most from it

Invite your child to push or pull the tractor across a flat surface, then use the trailer to carry the hay bundles to the sheep and chicken. The cotton cord makes it a companion for children aged 12 to 36 months as they practise moving with a toy in tow. Loading and unloading the trailer adds another small task to the journey, while handling the animals and feed encourages dexterity and motor-skill development.

The trailer detaches, so play can shift from pulling the complete tractor to arranging the animals and hay. That change of activity keeps the farm theme at the centre, whether your child is moving around the room or playing beside you. As with any toy for this age range, offer it on a flat surface and encourage supervised play.

What you’ll notice day to day

Silent silicone wheels allow the tractor to roll quietly, making it suited to indoor play where a noisy toy could interrupt the room. They are also designed to avoid damaging floors. The pull-along cord gives children a straightforward way to move the tractor, while the removable trailer makes loading and unloading part of the play rather than just a detail of the design.

The sheep, chicken and hay bundles give toddlers familiar farm objects to handle and bring into their own stories. This makes the set useful for both active play and quieter moments: a child can pull the tractor along, then stop to feed the animals. It is made from FSC wood and finished with water-based paint, with a multicoloured farm design that helps the pieces stand out during play.
