GLORIOUS GLO-KB-ACC-KC-GPBT-GR-OCN-DE GPBT Keycaps, Ocean PBT, German QWERTZ
Product description
Some keyboard owners want a fresh colour scheme, others want a more tactile surface for everyday typing. These GLORIOUS GPBT keycaps in Ocean bring both features to a mechanical keyboard with an MX-style layout.
The German QWERTZ legends give this set a clear regional layout, while the cherry profile keeps the design classic and familiar.
Thick PBT, dye-sublimated legends and a softly textured finish make the keycaps a considered choice for a personal desktop setup.
What matters most
The Ocean colourway adds a bold visual accent, while the custom legends are designed for clear, consistent readability. Dye sublimation helps the letters, numbers and symbols resist fading, so the markings stay legible through regular use. The legends are solid rather than transparent, which means RGB lighting does not shine through them.
Each keycap is made from thick PBT with subtle surface texture. Compared with ABS keycap sets, this material is more resistant to developing a shiny appearance over time. It also gives typing a deeper, fuller sound. If you are choosing between a purely visual refresh and a set with a distinct material and feel, this combination offers both in one change.
Fit and sizing
The set is intended for most mechanical keyboards with MX-style switches, including 60%, 65%, 75%, tenkeyless, 96% and full-size layouts. Compatibility covers MX-style switches from GLORIOUS and other third-party brands. The keyboard layout is German QWERTZ, so match that layout to your board before fitting the keycaps. The printed layout can differ from product images.
The cherry profile gives the keys a classic shape. For a practical desk refresh, it can bring a coordinated Ocean colour scheme and clearly marked German keys to a compatible keyboard without changing the keyboard itself.
How to use it
Use these keycaps as a replacement set for a compatible mechanical keyboard, matching the German QWERTZ layout and MX-style switch compatibility. This makes them suitable for refreshing the look of a home or work setup while retaining the existing keyboard. Their textured PBT surface offers a different feel from ABS keycaps, and the dye-sublimated markings are made to remain readable with regular typing.
Want the keyboard’s lighting to show through the letters? These legends are solid, so they do not provide RGB shine-through. Instead, their custom design and Ocean colour are intended to stand out through the keycaps’ appearance.
What to clarify
Which keyboard layouts are supported? The set fits most 60%, 65%, 75%, tenkeyless, 96% and full-size mechanical keyboards that use MX-style switches. Check that the German QWERTZ layout matches your keyboard.
Are the legends backlit by RGB lighting? No. The legends are solid, with no RGB shine-through, so lighting will not pass through the letters and symbols.
What are the keycaps made from? They are made from thick PBT with a subtly textured surface. The material is more resistant to shine over time than ABS, and the keycaps provide a deeper, fuller typing sound.
Final verdict
A solid pick if you want to give a compatible MX-style mechanical keyboard a distinctive Ocean finish while keeping German QWERTZ legends. The PBT construction, textured surface and fade-resistant dye-sublimated markings make this set particularly suited to a daily-use keyboard where appearance, feel and legibility all matter.
