FIREFIX 2081 Coal Shovel, 110 x 180 mm Blade, 380 mm Wooden Handle

Pros

A 110 x 180 mm blade gives you a practical way to add coal to a fire or lift ash from a stove, while the 380 mm wooden handle keeps the tool easy to hold and position. Its sheet-steel construction and black finish make it a straightforward companion for regular fireplace and stove tending.

For routine fire maintenance, a compact shovel is more suited to placing fuel and clearing the hearth than a larger tool intended for moving coal in bulk. The FIREFIX 2081 brings those everyday tasks together in one handled design.

Highlights

The shovel combines a sheet-steel blade with a wooden handle, balancing a sturdy working surface with a familiar grip. Its 110 x 180 mm blade is sized for scooping coal or ash, and the 380 mm overall length gives useful reach when tending a stove or fireplace. The black-painted finish keeps the appearance simple and coordinated with fire-side equipment.

At 0.17 kg, it is a light tool to pick up, reposition and store between uses. The fixed, non-folding design keeps the handle and blade together as a single implement, ready for adding fuel or clearing loose ash as part of your fire routine.

Everyday use

Keep the shovel close to the stove or fireplace for small, regular jobs: transferring coal into the fire, moving loose ash, or tidying the fire area once it is safe to do so. The blade’s 110 x 180 mm dimensions offer a defined scooping area, while the wooden handle provides a direct grip for controlled handling. Its overall length of 380 mm is useful for reaching into the fire area without needing a separate long-handled tool.

When clearing debris, work steadily and take care around loose particles. The product safety guidance advises protecting your eyes from flying debris while shovelling. This is a practical consideration when moving ash or fuel, particularly if the material is unsettled.
