dagaladoo Grey Clear MDA Profile Keycaps, 115-Key PC Set for MX Switches

If you want to change the look of an MX-style mechanical keyboard while letting its backlighting show through, this 115-key set is designed around grey-clear caps and an MDA profile. The polycarbonate construction and transparent finish give it a different feel from a conventional opaque replacement set, while the listed layouts range from smaller keyboards to full-size models.

It is a set of keycaps only, rather than a complete keyboard. The main buying question is whether the layout and individual key positions match your board.

Quick sizing guide

The set is listed for 60%, 65%, 70%, 75% and 100% mechanical keyboards, with 115 keys supplied. That gives it potential to suit a range of common layouts, but a layout percentage alone does not guarantee that every key will fit every board. The product information names MX-style switches, so check that your keyboard uses compatible switches and compare the key arrangement, particularly the spacebar, before choosing it.

That detail matters if your keyboard has a non-standard layout: a set can cover the right overall size yet still differ in the position or size of individual keys. Buyers’ feedback on fit is mixed, including reports of spacebar alignment problems. If your current keyboard uses a standard layout and MX-style switches, this set is a more relevant candidate than caps intended for a different switch type, for an unusual layout, matching each key position is the safer approach.

Why it’s worth it

The appeal is mainly visual and tactile. Grey-transparent polycarbonate gives the keyboard a clear, understated look, and the product is described as allowing light through. Its MDA profile has a rounded shape and a flatter, broader contact surface, which may suit someone who prefers that feel for typing. It also offers a noticeable change from opaque keycaps without replacing the keyboard itself.

For a practical example, someone with a backlit mechanical keyboard could use the set to refresh its appearance while keeping the existing board. You’ll like it if you want translucent grey caps and are comfortable checking switch and layout compatibility before fitting them. It might not be a great match if clear legends or assured spacebar alignment are essential: feedback on readability and fit is mixed, so those points are not guaranteed by the product details.

Buyers’ comments tend to praise the appearance, tactile feel and transparency, with some noting that the lighting shines through. However, opinions differ on how easy the lettering is to read, and some report fit issues. Treat these as individual impressions rather than a guarantee of how the set will look or sit on your keyboard.

Final verdict

This dagaladoo set is worth considering when the goal is a translucent grey look, an MDA profile and backlighting that can pass through the caps. Its broad listed layout range is useful, but the key count and layout percentages do not remove the need to check individual key sizes and switch compatibility. Choose it for the visual change if the details match your board, if legibility or a precise spacebar fit is a priority, the mixed feedback makes careful compatibility checking especially important.
