Bosch 2608901663 EXPERT C470 Sandpaper, 80 x 133 mm, 120 grit, 8-hole

At 80 x 133 mm, this Bosch EXPERT C470 sandpaper is made for paint and hardwood sanding with an orbital sander. Its 120-grit aluminium oxide abrasive offers a practical medium grade for material removal and surface preparation. The eight-hole format is part of the sheet design, while the paper backing supports the abrasive during use. Choose it for focused paint and woodwork tasks, for a finer finishing pass, a finer grit may better suit the job.

Practical tips

Use the sheet with an orbital sander and match its 80 x 133 mm format to the sander’s sanding pad. Position the eight holes over the corresponding dust-extraction openings before securing the sheet, so the perforations can line up during sanding. For a paint-preparation task on hardwood, work over the area evenly and let the 120 grit do the sanding rather than pressing excessively. This helps keep the work controlled across the surface.

The medium 120 grit makes this sheet relevant when you need to prepare wood or remove paint, rather than move straight to a very fine finishing abrasive. For a project that combines both stages, use this grade for the preparation work and select a finer sheet for the later finishing stage. That choice reflects two different needs: efficient surface preparation and a finer final finish.

Benefits

The aluminium oxide abrasive is designed for sanding, with paint on wood and hardwood highlighted as suitable applications. Bosch states that the EXPERT C470 can work up to 2x faster than Bosch C420 sandpaper. This comparison can be useful when choosing between the two abrasive ranges for a sanding task, while the 120-grit specification helps identify the grade at a glance.

The sheet is also listed as compatible with wood, metal, plastic and marble. That gives it scope for a range of material-specific sanding jobs, while the 80 x 133 mm size and orbital-sander format keep the intended setup clear. For example, when preparing a painted hardwood surface, the medium grit provides a single, straightforward sheet choice for the sanding stage.
