TOHETO A4 Rechargeable Super Bright Light Pad with 3 Light Colours and Carry Bag

Choosing a light pad often comes down to whether you need a fixed work surface or one you can move between rooms and projects. The TOHETO A4 Rechargeable Super Bright Light Pad is designed for portable tracing and crafts, with a built-in rechargeable battery, adjustable lighting and a protective carry bag.

Its A4 format suits smaller work such as sketching, diamond painting and vinyl weeding. The listed visual working area is 30.9 x 21.9 cm, so the usable space—not just the overall panel size—is worth bearing in mind when choosing it for larger projects.

Getting the most from it

Use the physical buttons to select white, warm or mixed light, then choose one of six brightness levels or press and hold for stepless dimming. A memory function returns to the last brightness setting, which can make it easier to resume a project without resetting the light each time. The surface is rated up to 8860 lux, and the manufacturer describes the illumination as even for working through several paper layers.

The rechargeable 3500 mAh battery is specified for about five hours of wireless use at maximum brightness. A full charge is listed as taking about 3.5 hours, and the pad can also be used while charging through its USB-C connection. For a craft session away from a desk outlet, the cordless mode is useful, if a project regularly runs longer at full brightness, access to charging may matter.

What stands out

The three colour modes and adjustable brightness give you more control over the light than a basic fixed-setting tracing board. That can be handy when switching between line tracing, drawing and diamond painting, or when the surrounding light changes. How useful is portability if the panel is awkward to carry? This model comes with a padded, lined bag and shoulder strap, so it can be stored or taken along with other craft supplies.

Buyers commonly praise the illumination, range of lighting settings, compact size and carry case. Some also describe it as useful across different craft tasks. Those impressions support its appeal as a versatile portable pad, but they don’t replace the product’s stated working-area and battery figures when matching it to a particular project.

What matters most

The pad measures 34.8 x 25.9 x 0.8 cm and weighs 1.18 kg. Its white and mint green ABS body has a slim profile, while the active working area is smaller than the full outer dimensions. If you mainly trace A4-sized designs or work on smaller pieces, that format offers a practical surface without requiring a larger drawing board. For oversized artwork or patterns that need a wider illuminated area, a larger-format pad would be a better fit.

The physical controls are another practical distinction from touch-sensitive designs: the product information says they help avoid accidental activation. A solid pick if you want a rechargeable A4 light pad that can travel between workspaces and supports several lighting adjustments. Not the best choice if your projects need an illuminated area larger than the stated working surface.

Practical questions

How long does the battery last? The manufacturer specifies about five hours of wireless use at maximum brightness. Runtime at other settings is not stated.

Can it be used while charging? Yes. The product information says it works both on battery power and while connected to power through USB-C.

What comes with the light pad? A padded carry bag with a shoulder strap is included. The bag is described as having a soft, scratch-resistant lining to help protect the screen during storage and transport.

Buying verdict

Choose the TOHETO if cordless use, adjustable colour and brightness, and a carry bag are more important to your craft setup than a large illuminated surface. Its A4 working area and stated runtime make it easier to judge whether it suits your usual tracing or drawing sessions, for work that regularly extends beyond that area, look for a larger-format option instead.
