Submi SU103-BLACK-CA Criss Cross Chair, Black Fabric, Adjustable Height

If you need an adult chair for working, studying or reading at home, the Submi Criss Cross Chair brings a roomy, armless seat to your desk or dressing area.

Its black fabric upholstery and padded foam seat create a comfortable place to settle in, while the cross-legged design gives you another way to sit during a task or a break.

Would adjustable seating and an easy swivel make your everyday setup more flexible? This chair combines both, with a metal frame and a reclining tilt range for work and relaxation.

Why it’s worth it

The wide, armless seat is designed to accommodate cross-legged sitting, making this a practical alternative to a conventional chair with arms if you like to change position. Foam filling adds cushioning for time spent at a desk, reading or getting ready in a bedroom or dressing room. The fabric finish gives the chair a softer look than a bare-frame office seat, while its black colour fits easily into a home workspace.

Adjust the seat height to suit your desk setup, swivel through 360 degrees to reach nearby items, or use the 90–105 degree tilt range to shift between focused tasks and a more relaxed position. The chair supports up to 140 kg. Its metal frame and five casters make it easy to move around an indoor workspace, the recommended surface is a hard floor.

Worth noting

The chair measures 45D x 60W x 100H centimetres, with a seat height and depth of 45 centimetres. Its modern, armless design works for a home office, bedroom or dressing room, and the adjustable seating gives you flexibility for more than one activity. For example, you can set it up at a desk for study, then swivel over to a nearby surface while reading or getting ready. If you are choosing between an armchair-style desk chair and a more open seat, the cross-legged design and lack of arms are useful distinctions to consider.

Assembly is required, with tools included, the estimated assembly time is 10–20 minutes. Buyers have praised the comfortable, spacious seat and the chair’s adjustability, and some also find the assembly straightforward. These are customer impressions, while the stated features provide the practical details for comparing it with other desk chairs.

Cleaning & care

The fabric-covered chair is intended for indoor use, and the care instruction is simple: wipe clean. This makes routine surface care easy to fit into a home office or dressing-area setup. Its wheeled base is recommended for hard floors, so choose a suitable indoor spot where you can move the chair around your workspace as needed.

Is it worth it?

For adults furnishing a home office or study area, the Submi SU103-BLACK-CA brings together a cross-legged seat, height adjustment, full swivel and a reclining tilt range in one chair. It is also suited to a bedroom or dressing room where a padded desk chair can serve for reading or getting ready. Choose it when an open, armless seat and flexible positioning matter as much as having a dedicated place to work.
