Sondiko GF-8016 Propane Weed Torch, 30-Inch Detachable, Adjustable Flame

Some garden jobs call for removing weeds by hand, others are easier to approach with a flame-based tool. The Sondiko GF-8016 offers an adjustable flame for treating weeds in hard-to-reach crevices and other outdoor tasks.

Its 30-inch detachable design and ergonomic grip give you a torch made for directed use around the yard, while the stainless steel construction adds a practical material detail for regular tool storage and handling.

Beyond weed control, the torch is described for melting ice or snow, lighting fires, wood burning and searing food. A propane tank is required and is not included.

Practical tips

Match the flame setting to the task at hand: garden work calls for a different approach from lighting a campfire or searing food. The adjustable control makes it possible to vary the flame for these different uses, while the 30-inch length helps put the burner head to work on weeds in crevices and other outdoor areas. The detachable design is useful when you want a torch that can be separated for storage or handling.

For a yard task, the torch can be directed at weeds growing between hard surfaces, offering a flame-based alternative to manual removal or chemical weed treatment. It is also intended for melting snow or ice, so the same tool can serve different seasonal jobs. Use it only with a suitable propane tank, which must be supplied separately.

What stands out

The GF-8016 combines an ergonomic grip with an adjustable flame and a 30-inch detachable torch design. Together, these details support control during a range of tasks rather than limiting the tool to weed burning alone. The listed applications include campfire lighting, wood-grain burning, soldering, softening asphalt and removing paint from non-flammable surfaces, alongside garden and ice-melting work. For food-related use, the product is also described for searing meat or fish.

Buyer feedback highlights the torch’s flame output and straightforward assembly, with some users mentioning uses such as lighting fires and preparing charcoal. Opinions on ignition performance are mixed, so buyers’ experiences differ on that point. This feedback provides a sense of reported use, rather than a substitute for the product’s listed features.
