Shintenchi MSG002 Bookshelf, 6-Tier White Bookcase with Doors

Give books, framed photos and everyday items a dedicated place in a living room or home office with the Shintenchi MSG002. Its tall, floor-standing design combines open display shelves with closed storage below, so favourite pieces can stay visible while documents and other items can be tucked behind doors. The white finish and mix of metal and wood bring a modern industrial look to the room.

Choose it when you want both display space and concealed storage in one piece of furniture, rather than a simple open bookcase. Four open shelf levels and two lower levels with doors make it easy to organize a mix of books, décor and household items.

Who it’s for

This bookcase suits anyone organizing a study, bedroom, office or living room who wants storage to contribute to the room’s appearance. Use the open shelves for books, plants and crafts you like to see, and the lower cabinet space for documents or other items you’d prefer to keep out of sight. Its 180.1 cm height makes use of vertical space, while the 59.9 cm width gives you a defined footprint for arranging a collection or creating a display.

For a home office, it can keep reading material and décor together while giving papers a place behind the doors. In a living room, the same combination helps create a more composed display without leaving every stored item exposed. Buyers have praised the bookcase’s appearance, while comments on quality and stability are mixed.

Benefits

The open-and-closed layout is the main practical advantage: display shelves keep frequently used books or decorative pieces easy to reach, and the doors help protect stored items from dust. Rather than choosing between an all-open shelving unit and a cabinet that hides everything, this design offers both approaches in one freestanding piece.

Metal and MDF board create its industrial-style combination of materials, while the white colour works as a clear backdrop for books and objects. Adjustable feet help accommodate the floor beneath the unit. A stability device is provided for installation, secure it as directed in the instructions to help keep the tall bookcase stable and reduce the risk of tipping.

What matters most

The six-tier layout is divided into four open shelf levels and two levels with doors. Overall dimensions are 23.6D x 59.9W x 180.1H centimetres, with a weight of 13 kg. The shelves are 1.6 centimetres thick. These details help you plan where the unit will stand and how to arrange its mix of display and concealed storage before assembly.

It is a freestanding floor-mounted bookcase, not a wall-mounted display. Assembly instructions and a bag of fittings are included, and the stability device should be secured during installation. For day-to-day care, wipe the surfaces with a damp cloth. The white finish, tiered shelves and lower doors make the design especially useful when you want a tidy, varied display rather than a row of identical open shelves.

When it makes sense

Choose the MSG002 when a room needs one tall unit for both visible display and more discreet storage. It can organize books and decorative pieces in a study, keep documents and reading material together in an office, or add a mixed display-and-storage feature to a living room or bedroom. If your priority is to show every item, an all-open shelf offers a different layout, this bookcase is suited to homes that also value a place to put things behind doors. Its combination of six shelf levels, a white metal-and-wood look and closed lower storage makes it a practical fit for keeping everyday items organized while giving the room a defined display area.
