Shark EX200C CarpetXpert Cleaner with StainStriker for Carpets & Upholstery

A spill on the rug, a mark on the sofa or a well-used carpet calls for more than a quick surface wipe. The Shark EX200C CarpetXpert combines full-size carpet cleaning with a built-in handheld spot and stain tool, so you can handle broad carpet areas and focused clean-ups with one machine.

Its high-speed brush roll, PowerWash high-pressure spray and suction work together to lift dirt and grime, while the StainStriker tool mixes two formulas on contact. That gives you a practical way to move from a room’s carpet to upholstery, stairs or an isolated stain.

Practical tips

Use the main cleaner for carpet and rugs, then switch to the handheld tool when a spill is concentrated or you need to reach upholstery and stairs. For example, after a drink is knocked onto a rug, the spot tool lets you focus on the affected area rather than treating the entire floor. The crevice tool is suited to narrow areas, while the hose cleaning tool supports care of the hose after use.

The included formulas are Shark CarpetXpert Deep Clean Pro Formula and Shark StainStriker OXY Multiplier Formula. In the handheld tool, the two liquids mix and activate on contact. The machine is also designed for dirt, tough stains and odours, including those associated with pets. Follow the product and formula instructions for use on the surface you’re cleaning.

What you’ll notice day to day

The main advantage is having two cleaning approaches in one unit: a carpet cleaner for larger areas and a handheld spot remover for smaller, targeted jobs. The brush roll, spray and suction are designed to work as a system, helping address ground-in dirt and grime across carpets and rugs. For a specific mark or upholstery clean-up, the separate stain tool helps keep the task focused.

This is a different approach from choosing only a portable spot cleaner or only a full-size carpet cleaner. The EX200C brings both functions together, which can be useful in homes where carpet maintenance and occasional upholstery or stair clean-ups are part of the same routine. Buyer feedback often highlights cleaning performance and the refreshed appearance of carpets, some buyers also comment that the tanks feel small. These are individual impressions, and the tank capacity is listed as 67.6 fluid ounces.

The essentials

The Shark CarpetXpert with StainStriker is model EX200C, finished in navy. Its listed dimensions are 33.4D x 30.4W x 110.5H centimetres. The package components include the 12 oz CarpetXpert Deep Clean Pro Formula, 16-oz StainStriker OXY Multiplier Formula, crevice tool, hose cleaning tool and stain tool. The stain tool is 3.5 inches.

The combination of a full-size cleaner and a handheld spot tool is the key distinction: use the main unit for carpet and rugs, then turn to the tools for upholstery, stairs and targeted stains. The included formulas are intended for these cleaning tasks, with the StainStriker pair mixing in the handheld tool.

Buying verdict

Choose the Shark EX200C if you want one carpet-cleaning system that can also tackle focused stains around the home. Its carpet-cleaning action, built-in handheld tool and included accessories make it especially useful for households that need to care for rugs and carpets as well as upholstery, stairs or occasional pet-related messes.
