BISSELL 3738C PowerClean Turbo Pet XL Carpet Cleaner, 10-Inch Path, 1-Gallon Tank

Usage tips

For routine carpet cleaning, the BISSELL PowerClean Turbo Pet XL covers a 10-inch-wide path, helping you clean more carpet with each pass. Use the upright cleaner across larger carpeted areas, then switch to the attachments for spots that are harder to reach: the 3-inch Tough Stain Tool is designed for upholstery, while the Spraying Crevice Tool reaches areas such as stairs, baseboards and narrow crevices. The same setup makes it easier to move from a carpeted room to pet beds or furniture without relying on one tool for every surface.

Its 1-gallon clean-water tank means fewer trips to the sink during a cleaning session. At less than 17 lb, the machine is also designed to be carried and manoeuvred around the home, and stored when the job is done.

Technical overview

• Type: Upright carpet and upholstery cleaner
• Model: 3738C
• Clean path: 10 in
• Clean tank capacity: 1 gallon
• Brush: 4-row DeepReach PowerBrush
• Tools: 3-inch Tough Stain Tool and Spraying Crevice Tool
• Weight: Less than 17 lb

The wide cleaning path and upright format suit carpeted rooms where covering floor area matters. For individual upholstery marks or tight spaces, the included tools offer a more targeted way to clean. The four-row brush is designed to address embedded dirt and tough stains in carpet, while the attachments extend the machine’s use to furniture, stairs, pet beds and baseboards.

Strengths

The practical advantage is having broad carpet coverage and above-floor cleaning in one machine. For example, after cleaning a carpeted living area, you can use the crevice tool along a baseboard and the Tough Stain Tool on upholstery or a pet bed. That combination helps make the cleaner useful for more than a single floor-cleaning task. The larger clean-water tank also supports longer sessions between refills, while the lighter design helps when moving it between rooms or putting it away.

Buyers commonly highlight cleaning performance and ease of use. Feedback is more mixed on suction, durability and weight, so opinions vary across those aspects. If your needs are limited to occasional, isolated marks, a spot-cleaning approach may suit that narrower task, the PowerClean Turbo Pet XL is designed to cover carpet as well as reach smaller areas with its tools.
