Rngeo 2-Pack Soil Moisture Meter with 7-inch Probe and Colour-Coded Dial

This two-pack includes one green and one black soil moisture meter, giving you a simple way to check soil in more than one pot or growing area. Each meter has a 7-inch probe and a large, colour-coded dial that makes the reading easy to see while you care for houseplants, garden beds or lawn plants.

Insert the probe into the soil near the plant’s roots and read the indicator. No batteries are needed, so the meters are ready for a direct soil check without a power setup.

How it fits

Use the meters with houseplants, large potted plants, garden plants, lawn plants or crops in a farm setting, indoors or outdoors. They offer a direct check of soil moisture rather than relying only on a fixed watering calendar. For example, before watering several houseplants, insert a probe into each plant’s soil and use the dial to help decide which ones need attention.

The single-probe design is intended to avoid disturbing as much soil around the roots during a check. Insert the probe to the plant’s root level and leave it in the soil for several minutes, the indicator pointer then shows the reading. The two colours also make it convenient to keep one meter near indoor plants and the other with outdoor gardening supplies.

Benefits

The large dial has ten coloured scales, with red indicating dry, green moist and blue wet. This visual guide makes it easier to read the result at a glance and compare soil conditions as you work through your plants. It gives you a practical reference for watering decisions, whether you are tending a single container or checking a group of plants.

Buyers appreciate how straightforward the meters are to use for checking houseplants. Feedback on functionality is mixed, however, with some buyers reporting readings they found unreliable or inconsistent. The dial is designed to provide a quick soil-moisture indication, while the colour zones offer an accessible way to interpret it.
