OWYR Magnetic Window Screen, 43" x 47", Fibreglass Mesh, Magnetic Closure

For seasonal insect screening that can be removed when needed, the OWYR magnetic window screen combines a fibreglass mesh panel with a magnetic closure. The white frame and grey mesh provide a practical fit for a range of openings, and the panel can be trimmed to suit the window dimensions.

Its listed size is 43" x 47", with a maximum adjustable fit of 110cm x 120cm. Self-adhesive installation and magnetic strips make it possible to open and detach the screen rather than leave it fixed in place.

Key points

The fibreglass mesh lets fresh air pass through while helping keep mosquitoes and other insects out. Reinforced magnetic strips form the closure, so the screen can be opened when access through the window is needed and brought back into place afterwards. The white frame and grey mesh give the panel a neutral look around the opening.

The screen is designed for windows with aluminium, wood or iron frames, as well as sliding windows, skylights, bathroom windows, RV or cruise ship windows, and balcony openings. It can be cut and adjusted for a suitable opening up to 110cm x 120cm. Need a screen that can be taken down for cleaning or stored between uses? Its removable design makes that routine straightforward.

Buyer feedback is mixed on installation, fit, attachment and durability. Some appreciate the appearance and ease of removing the screen, while others report that getting the adhesive and magnetic edges positioned correctly takes care, some also find the instructions difficult to follow. The supplied manual includes an installation video to guide setup.

How to look after it

Remove the mesh when it needs cleaning, then rinse it or wipe it down. Once dry and no longer needed, it can be rolled up for compact storage. These simple care options make it useful for windows that are opened regularly, as well as for seasonal use when a screen is not needed year-round.

Tips for day-to-day use

Measure the intended opening before trimming the panel, keeping the maximum fit of 110cm x 120cm in mind. For installation, use the video in the manual as a visual guide and take care when positioning the self-adhesive frame and magnetic strips. A neat fit helps the magnetic closure meet along the opening and makes it easier to open and close the screen as needed.

For example, in a bathroom or bedroom window, the mesh can stay in place while fresh air comes in, then be detached for cleaning or rolled away when the window needs an unobstructed opening. Compared with a fixed screen setup, this removable magnetic format is suited to people who want the option to take the mesh down between uses.

Final verdict

The OWYR screen brings together airflow, insect screening and a removable magnetic closure in a panel that can be trimmed for a range of window openings. It is a practical fit for households looking for adjustable, washable screening for windows, skylights or balcony openings, with convenient removal for cleaning and storage.
