OldPAPA Bed Canopy, White Hanging Mosquito Net, 240 cm

For a child who would love a cosy place to play, read or settle down, the OldPAPA bed canopy creates a nook above a bed or play mat. Its white, lightweight chiffon adds a soft decorative touch while the semi-sheer fabric helps form a shaded space. Could one simple hanging canopy make a bedroom feel more like a little hideaway? The 240 cm height gives the canopy room to drape around the area below.

Practical tips

Hang the canopy from a ceiling hook, following the manufacturer’s assembly directions. The instructions describe fitting the steel ring inside the top of the canopy, tying the top cotton string and hanging it from the hook, the hook can be fixed with a screw or adhesive tape. The pop-up ring can spring open when released, so an adult should handle it during assembly rather than letting a child unfold it. Once hung, the opening provides an easy way in and out of the nook.

Use it over a baby crib, children’s bed or play area to create a defined spot for quiet time, imaginative games or a reading corner. The canopy is 240 cm high, with a 50 cm top diameter, and its bottom perimeter is 378 cm. Its white colour works as a light, decorative layer in a nursery or playroom, while the fabric’s semi-sheer finish keeps the space visually connected to the room. For care, the canopy is machine washable.

Why it’s worth it

This canopy combines room décor with a dedicated children’s space. Instead of choosing a purely decorative hanging accent or a separate play tent that occupies floor space, it uses a suspended design to create a castle-like nook above a bed or mat. That makes it useful for switching between bedtime surroundings and imaginative play without changing the basic layout of the room. The lightweight fabric and simple white colour also make it easy to incorporate into a nursery or child’s bedroom.

Buyers commonly praise the canopy’s pretty appearance and say it gives a room a cosy, sweet look. Some also describe assembly and installation as straightforward and appreciate the material. Opinions are mixed on value and on how evenly the tie details align, so those impressions vary from one buyer to another.

What matters most

The canopy is a single white panel made from chiffon, with a tie-top design and an opening for access. It is intended for nursery decoration and for creating a shaded play area, and its 240 cm height supports use above a crib, children’s bed, play mat or reading nook. The overall effect is a softly enclosed corner rather than a freestanding tent: the ceiling-hung format keeps the floor area available for toys, cushions or a mat.

For everyday use, choose a spot where the canopy can hang above the intended resting or play area, then secure the ceiling hook in keeping with the installation method. The fabric can be machine washed, which is practical for a children’s room accessory used around beds and play spaces. You’ll like it if you want a decorative canopy that also gives a child a distinct little place to nap, read or play.
