Ohuhu Kaala Alcohol Markers, 60 Landscape Colours with Slim Broad and Fine Tips
Product description
Everyday use
Slim broad and fine tips give you two ways to control line width, making it easier to move from outlining to larger strokes without changing markers. The alcohol-based ink is described as fast-drying, which supports layering and blending for illustrations, landscape scenes and design work.
The set includes 60 landscape-tone colours and a colourless blender. That combination suits projects where shading and tonal transitions matter, whether you are colouring a nature scene, developing an architectural drawing or working on manga and fashion illustrations.
Compared with a basic single-tip set, the dual tips offer more flexibility for varied marks. A more demanding workflow may call for specific colours or paper choices beyond what this set documents, so consider whether its landscape-focused palette matches your usual projects. A carry case keeps the markers together, and its drawable surface offers a place to sketch.
Product specs
- Name: Ohuhu Kaala
- Type: Alcohol-based art markers
- Format: Dual-tip, slim broad and fine
- Capacity: 60 landscape colours
- What’s included: Colourless blender, carry case and plastic sheet
The slim broad tip is described as thinner and longer than a standard chisel tip, intended to offer more control for precise lines and strokes. The plastic sheet is included to place under your drawing and help protect the surface from ink bleeding through. The product conforms with ASTM D-4236.
Strengths
The practical appeal is the range of marks in one set: fine lines for detail and a slim broad tip for more substantial strokes. The colourless blender can add highlights, patterns and texture over dry ink, and it can also be used to work over a mistake, the instructions recommend placing scrap paper underneath to absorb the ink.
The ink is refillable, with refills currently available for 51 Ohuhu colours. This may matter if you expect to use particular shades regularly, though it does not mean every colour in the set has a stated refill option. Colour-coded caps help identify shades, and the redesigned barrel is intended to provide a more comfortable grip.
Buyer feedback commonly highlights the colour selection, smooth application and blending. Some buyers report receiving markers that were already dry or found that they dried out quickly, experiences with bleed-through are mixed. The included plastic sheet is therefore a useful precaution, rather than a reason to assume every paper will prevent bleed-through.
It’s a good fit if you want a broad landscape palette, two tip styles and a blender in a portable set. Better avoided if your work depends on a particular paper’s bleed resistance, since that is not established here and buyer reports differ. Keep use in mind when judging refills and palette coverage, depending on how you use it.
Practical questions
What types of artwork is the set intended for? The listed uses include landscape and nature colouring, architectural drawings, fashion design, fine art, manga illustration and colouring books.
What does the colourless blender do? It can be used over dry ink to add highlights, patterns or texture, and to work over mistakes. The instructions advise putting scrap paper underneath when correcting an error.
Is anything included to help with bleed-through? Yes. A plastic sheet is included for placement under the drawing. The product information recommends using it or a piece of heavy paper beneath your work.
Buying verdict
Choose the Ohuhu Kaala set when varied line widths, landscape colours and blending are more important than a single-purpose marker format. Its case, blender and protective sheet make it a considered set for drawing and colouring projects, while the mixed reports on drying and bleed-through are worth weighing if dependable performance across particular papers is essential.
