Artecho Watercolour Paint Set 100 Colours

If you want a compact kit for painting away from a dedicated art desk, this set brings a broad colour selection and basic tools together. A smaller palette may be easier to pack, but offers less variety at hand.

The 100 colours include classic, metallic, fluorescent and macaron shades. That mix gives you room to try different effects without assembling a palette from separate paints.

The portable tin and velvet bag suit a sketching session at a café or a quiet afternoon outdoors. Just note that the box includes only two sheets of watercolour paper.

Key specifications

The palette has 100 watercolour colours: 51 classic, 35 metallic, 10 macaron and four fluorescent. The kit also includes one watercolour brush, one nylon brush, a sharpener, a sketch pen, a colour card and a natural sponge. Two sheets of watercolour paper are supplied, along with a portable tin box and velvet bag.

The paints are described as acid-free, washable and non-toxic, and as meeting ASTM D-4236 safety standards. The listing does not provide paint quantities, brush sizes or details about individual pigments, so those looking for precise technical information will have less to go on.

Who it’s for

It's a good fit if you’re starting with watercolours, enjoy trying different finishes, or want a ready-to-pack kit for casual illustration, card making or calligraphy. For example, you could take the tin and a few tools along, use the colour card to plan a small design, then work through the included paper for a quick sketch.

The range of metallic and fluorescent shades adds options beyond a set made up only of classic colours. That variety may be useful for decorative projects, though it does not tell you how each shade will look on paper or how much paint each pan contains. If you paint regularly, the two supplied sheets are more of a starter supply than a lasting paper stock.

No te encajará si you need detailed pigment information, a specified amount of paint, or a larger paper supply ready for extended practice. Given its design, this is best viewed as a portable all-in-one starting point rather than a fully specified studio setup.

What’s included

Alongside the 100-colour palette, you get two brushes, a sharpener, sketch pen, colour card and sponge. The tin keeps the set together, while the velvet bag provides another way to carry it. The included tools make it possible to begin without gathering every basic item separately, although the listing does not identify the brush sizes or describe the paper dimensions.

Before you decide

Are there different types of colour in the palette? Yes. It includes classic, metallic, fluorescent and macaron colours, with the quantities of each listed above.

Can it be taken along for travel? The set is described as portable and comes in a tin box with a velvet bag. No dimensions or weight are provided, so its exact packed size isn’t specified.

Is it intended for beginners? The product description presents it for beginners as well as adults, artists and hobbyists. If you need more detailed guidance or technical paint specifications, those aren’t provided here.

Final verdict

Choose the Artecho set if having many colour styles and basic accessories together matters more than knowing exact pigment details or having plenty of paper included. It suits casual projects and portable practice, for longer sessions, plan on supplying your own paper. If you prefer a simpler palette with more space to choose each tool individually, that approach may be a better match.
