Mounting Dream MD5420 Soundbar Mount Bracket, Adjustable Plates, 15 lb Capacity

Some TV setups call for a soundbar mounted directly above or below the screen, others need more flexibility to position it around the TV mount. The Mounting Dream MD5420 is designed for either placement, with adjustable extension plates that swivel up to 180 degrees.

Its metal bracket supports soundbars up to 15 lbs and works with fixed, tilt and full-motion TV wall mounts. That gives you a practical way to bring the soundbar into the same mounting setup as the TV.

The detachable plates and included hardware help adapt the bracket to different mounting arrangements. Use the fit and attachment points of your soundbar and TV mount to plan the installation.

How to use it

Attach the bracket at the TV’s VESA or mounting points, then position the soundbar above or below the screen. The adjustment knob secures the soundbar, while the teeth on the arm connection help keep it in place. If your soundbar mounts from the bottom, use the supplied L-shaped brackets.

The extension plates detach and adjust, with up to 180 degrees of swivel for positioning the soundbar around the TV mount. In a living room where the TV is on a fixed, tilting or full-motion wall mount, this setup can place the soundbar with the screen without adding separate wall holes for the soundbar itself.

Strengths

The main advantage is placement flexibility. Rather than relying on a fixed bracket position, the detachable extension plates can be adjusted and swivelled to suit the arrangement of the TV mount and soundbar. The design fits most soundbars from brands including Sonos, Samsung, Sony, Vizio, Bose and Yamaha, while the 15 lb capacity provides a clear weight limit to use when selecting a compatible soundbar.

The bracket’s metal construction, locking teeth and adjustment knob each serve a practical purpose: supporting the soundbar and securing its position during everyday use. Included hardware gives you mounting options, and the L-shaped brackets are intended for soundbars with bottom mounting points.

Buyers often describe installation as straightforward and appreciate the adjustment options and variety of hardware. Feedback on fit and mounting arrangements varies, which makes matching the soundbar’s mounting points and TV setup an important part of choosing the right configuration.

Final verdict

The MD5420 suits a setup where you want the soundbar mounted with the TV rather than attached separately to the wall. Its above-or-below placement, adjustable swivel plates and compatibility with several styles of TV wall mount make it useful for adapting the soundbar position to your screen. For a soundbar weighing up to 15 lbs, it offers a focused mounting solution with included hardware and a clear, adjustable installation approach.
