Logitech Wireless Presenter R400, Wireless Presentation Remote with Red Laser

Some presentations are easiest to lead from beside a computer, others call for room to move and direct attention around the space. The Logitech Wireless Presenter R400 combines slide controls with a red laser pointer, so you can keep the presentation moving while highlighting key points.

Its wireless USB receiver supports a range of up to 50 feet, giving you room to present from different spots in a classroom or meeting room.

How to use it

Plug the wireless mini-receiver into a USB port on a Windows-based computer to get started, no software installation is required. Use the forward and back controls to move through slides, then press the laser button to draw attention to a detail on screen. Presentation start/stop and black-screen controls let you manage the flow without returning to the computer for each change.

The receiver stores inside the presenter when you’re finished, making it easier to pack away with the included carrying case. A battery-power indicator helps you keep track of the presenter’s power, while the contoured shape and controls designed to be easy to find by touch support comfortable, straightforward operation during a talk.

Strengths

The R400 brings the controls most useful during a slideshow together in one handheld presenter. Move between slides, start or stop the presentation, switch to a black screen and point out important information without needing to stay beside the computer. That makes it practical for a lesson, workshop or meeting where the speaker wants to address people around the room rather than remain at the podium.

The red laser pointer provides a clear way to emphasize a particular area on a projected slide, while the wireless range of up to 50 feet gives you space to move as you present. For buyers choosing between a basic slide remote and a more elaborate presentation system, the R400 focuses on direct slide navigation and laser pointing, with a receiver that plugs into USB and stores in the device. Buyers also often appreciate its simple plug-and-play setup, intuitive controls and comfortable feel in hand, making it an approachable tool for regular classes and presentations.
