LEXIVON LX-206 DuaLock Tape Measure, 25 ft/7.5 m, 1-Inch Blade

Everyday use

Measuring a room for new furniture, marking a cut for a framing project or checking a space around the house is easier when the scale is clear and the tape is ready to position. The LEXIVON LX-206 DuaLock Tape Measure extends to 25 ft/7.5 m and has a 1-inch-wide blade with markings on both sides, giving you a practical way to take measurements across everyday home and work tasks.

Its fractional graphics and markings for feet, inches and metric measurements help you read the scale in the format you need. What if the tape needs to stay in place while you mark a measurement? The DuaLock mechanism and bottom speed brake are designed to control the blade during use and retraction.

What stands out

The blade has a matte-finish, dual-sided white and yellow scale print, so measurement markings are presented on both faces rather than only one. That layout can be useful when measuring from different angles or working with the tape in either orientation. Nylon coating helps resist rust and corrosion, while the 1-inch width provides a broad surface for reading the scale.

A true zero multi-catch hook supports accurate measurements from both inside and outside edges. For example, when checking the interior width of a cabinet or measuring the outside of a board, the hook is designed to accommodate either approach. Stud-centre markings at 16-inch and 19.2-inch intervals also add a useful reference when laying out framing work. Compared with a tape marked in just one measurement format, the LX-206 brings fractional and metric references together on its dual-sided blade.

Highlights

The case is made from high-impact, rubberized ABS, with an anti-skid grip intended to make it easier to hold while measuring. The bottom speed brake gives you control over blade retraction, and the DuaLock design provides a dedicated locking mechanism for working with an extended blade. Inside, a heat-treated manganese spring is specified for smooth operation and long service life.

Buyers describe the tape as practical for everyday tasks and appreciate the readable markings and measurement usefulness. Feedback is mixed on the locking mechanism and durability, so experiences with those aspects vary. The product’s core features are geared towards getting measurements, marking them clearly and moving between household jobs and framing layouts without changing tools.
