KAAYEE wooden puzzle, 680 pieces

For an evening spent working through a detailed image rather than rushing to the finish, this wooden phoenix puzzle combines a 680-piece layout with irregular piece shapes. The completed design measures 21.6 × 20 in and features a fiery bird, an ornate circular background and celestial-style details. It’s intended as a challenging adult puzzle, with a finished image that could also suit a shelf or wall display.

The distinctive shapes add interest, but they also make this a more involved project than a straightforward jigsaw.

Key specifications

This is a flat wooden jigsaw puzzle with 680 pieces and a finished size of 21.6 × 20 in. Its artwork centres on a phoenix with outstretched wings, surrounded by a patterned circular design. The pieces are described as irregular, with shapes that echo details in the feathers and border. That can make the assembly feel less predictable than sorting and fitting conventional, uniformly shaped pieces.

The product description also highlights smooth edges and precise cuts. Those details may matter if you enjoy handling puzzle pieces as much as watching the image take shape, though there’s no information here about wood thickness or how the completed puzzle is meant to be mounted. If you’re choosing between a familiar cardboard jigsaw and a decorative wood puzzle, this one leans towards tactile assembly and a visually distinctive finished image.

Who it’s for

It may suit you if you enjoy mythology-inspired artwork, a more demanding puzzle session, or a project you can leave out and return to over time. For example, you could sort pieces around the phoenix’s wings one evening, then tackle the dense circular patterns in a later session. That gives the artwork different visual zones to work through rather than one simple field of colour.

It won’t suit you if you want a quick, low-effort puzzle, or if you need confirmed details about display hardware before planning to hang the finished image. The listing calls it difficult, but doesn’t provide a completion-time estimate or a difficulty scale, so the irregular shapes are the clearest indication of the challenge. For an easier, more conventional build, a standard-shaped puzzle may be a better fit.

Everyday use

The main use is the assembly itself, the phoenix artwork gives the finished puzzle a second possible role as home décor. Its 21.6 × 20 in dimensions make it worth planning a clear surface for the build and thinking about where it might be displayed afterwards. A shelf or tabletop display is mentioned, as is wall décor, but the available details don’t say whether any frame or hanging pieces are included.

The wooden format and mythological theme could also make it a thoughtful gift for someone who already enjoys puzzles or phoenix imagery. Just keep in mind that the package contents beyond the puzzle aren’t specified, so don’t assume display accessories are supplied.

Three practical questions

How many pieces does it have? It has 680 pieces, with irregular shapes intended to add challenge.

What is it made from? It is described as a wooden puzzle. Further material details, such as wood thickness, aren’t provided.

Can the finished puzzle be displayed? The product description suggests using it as home décor, including on a wall or shelf. It doesn’t confirm whether mounting hardware or a frame is included.

Final verdict

Choose this KAAYEE puzzle if the phoenix artwork, wooden format and less predictable piece shapes are the main draw, and you’re happy to take on a detailed build. Its decorative potential adds a reason to keep the finished image, not just complete it. If you need a simple puzzle for a short session or a confirmed, ready-to-hang display solution, the missing information on mounting and accessories is a real limitation.
