Jettruemedia 229XL TN229XL Compatible Toner Cartridge Set, 4-Pack with Chip

This four-pack brings together black, cyan, magenta and yellow TN229XL toner cartridges, giving you all four colours for a compatible Brother colour laser printer.

An upgraded smart chip supports installation without transferring a chip from an original cartridge. Each cartridge is packaged separately, and a user guide is included.

Choose this set when you want replacement toner for the listed Brother printers in one purchase, rather than sourcing each colour separately. The cartridge type is compatible, and the set is intended for home or office printing.

Pros

The four-colour pack includes one black cartridge and one each in cyan, magenta and yellow. That means you can replenish the printer’s black and colour toner together, with the appropriate cartridge ready when a colour runs low. For routine documents, colour pages and mixed print jobs, having the full set on hand makes it easier to keep the printer supplied across different tasks.

The upgraded smart chip is designed to support a straightforward installation and does not require transferring a chip from an original cartridge. This helps simplify the replacement process. The cartridges are compatible with Brother HL-L3280CDW, HL-L3220CDW, HL-L3295CDW, HL-L3300CDW, HL-L8245CDW, MFC-L3780CDW, MFC-L3720CDW, MFC-L3765CDW and MFC-L8395CDW printers. Match your printer’s model to this list before ordering.

Key takeaways

The set contains one TN229XL black cartridge and three colour cartridges: cyan, magenta and yellow. The stated yield is up to 3,000 pages for the black cartridge and up to 2,300 pages for each colour cartridge, based on 5% page coverage. Actual page use varies with the content being printed, so text-heavy documents and colour-rich pages can use toner differently.

For a small office or home workspace that handles both everyday paperwork and colour materials, the four-pack offers a single compatible replacement set for the listed printers. Individually packaged cartridges help keep each colour separate until it is needed, while the included user guide supports setup.

Usage tips

Install the cartridge that matches the colour being replaced and follow the printer’s on-screen instructions. On first installation, the printer may display “Non Toner”, select “Yes” to continue normal use. If “No” is selected by mistake and the printer becomes inoperative, restart it and select “Yes” on the following screen.

Keep the printer model handy when choosing toner, since compatibility is specific to the Brother models listed above. The set is a practical fit when you prefer to replenish all four toner colours together, replacing colours one at a time remains a different approach for buyers who only need a single cartridge.

Final verdict

This Jettruemedia compatible TN229XL set is suited to Brother printer owners who want black and all three colour cartridges together, with a smart chip designed to simplify installation. Its stated yields and broad compatibility list make it a useful replacement set for regular home or office printing, from plain-paper documents to colour output.
