iNKPAD DR229CL-4P Drum Unit 4-Pack for Brother Printers, CMYK
Product description
A four-pack of iNKPAD DR229CL-4P replacement drum units gives you the black, cyan, magenta and yellow drums for compatible Brother laser printers. Each drum is rated for up to 20,000 pages at 5% coverage on A4 paper, making the pack a practical choice for ongoing printer maintenance.
These are drum units, not toner cartridges. They are designed to work with TN229-series toner, so you can replace the drum components while keeping the toner supply separate.
Pros
Having four drum units on hand supports maintenance across the printer’s black and colour printing system. The stated yield of up to 20,000 pages per drum can help reduce how often you need to source replacement drums, particularly in a regularly used home office or workplace. Actual page yield depends on print coverage, the stated figure uses 5% coverage on A4 paper.
The set is intended for specific Brother models, including the HL-L3220CDW, HL-L3280CDW, HL-L3295CDW, HL-L3300CDW and HL-L8245CDW, as well as the MFC-L3720CDW, MFC-L3765CDW, MFC-L3780CDW and MFC-L8395CDW. Matching your printer’s model to this list is the useful first step when choosing a replacement.
Key features
The pack contains four DR229CL drum units in black, cyan, magenta and yellow, plus a user guide. This CMYK set is suited to maintaining colour printing as well as black output. It does not include TN229XL toner, so it is specifically for replacing drums rather than replenishing toner.
Need to replace a drum without changing your toner at the same time? This separate drum format keeps those maintenance needs distinct. The units are compatible replacements for the listed Brother printers, offering an alternative to buying drum components individually when you need a full set for printer upkeep.
How to use it
Use the DR229CL-4P set as a drum-unit replacement for one of the compatible Brother printers listed above. Before starting, identify the printer model and have the appropriate drum unit ready, toner remains a separate component. Follow the printer’s replacement process and the supplied user guide so the unit is seated correctly.
If the printer does not recognize a replacement, the product guidance suggests resetting the drum data or reinstalling the drum rack. This can help address an installation or recognition issue without treating the drum unit as a toner cartridge. For a work area that prints both text and colour documents, keeping the four-part set available can make routine drum maintenance easier to plan.
