Hoover Carpet Cleaning Solution AH31711CA

A pre-mixed formula means there’s no measuring or dilution before a quick spill cleanup: pour it into a compatible Hoover CleanSlate portable spot cleaner and focus on the affected area. The 946 mL bottle is intended for coloured stains such as coffee and red wine, as well as pet messes. It’s also described for use on upholstery, fabric furniture, car-seat fabric and area rugs, which makes it more versatile than a solution bought for carpet alone. The trade-off is that this is a targeted-cleaning product, not a replacement for a full carpet wash.

Technical details

This is Hoover’s Oxy Portable Spot Cleaner Solution, model AH31711CA. It comes pre-mixed in a 32 oz (946 mL) bottle, so there’s no separate concentrate-to-water ratio to work out. The listed cleaner it’s designed for is the Hoover CleanSlate portable spot cleaner. The product information identifies coloured stains and pet messes as intended targets, but doesn’t specify a treatment time, ingredients or a complete list of fabrics it can be used on. If you’re choosing it for a particular material, that missing detail matters, without that information, it’s sensible to follow the instructions for both the machine and the fabric.

What it works with

The stated use is broader than carpet: the solution is also presented for fabric upholstery, couch cushions, car-seat fabric and vehicle interiors, as well as area rugs. That could be handy when the same portable cleaner moves from a coffee spill on a rug to a pet mess on a cushion. It’s a good fit if you already use a CleanSlate and want one ready-to-pour solution for several kinds of fabric cleanup. Someone looking for a product for a different machine, or a dedicated treatment with detailed fabric-specific directions, should check those requirements before choosing it.

Usage tips

Use it for small, localised messes rather than treating a whole room of carpet: for example, tackle a fresh-looking coffee mark on an area rug, then use the portable cleaner on a separate pet mess on upholstery. The ready-to-use format removes the mixing step, but it doesn’t mean every fabric should be treated the same way. Check the care guidance for the surface and the cleaner, and test an inconspicuous spot if you’re unsure how the material will respond. The supplied details don’t set out how much solution to use or how long to leave it, so avoid guessing at a special method.

Purchase questions

Does it need to be diluted? No mixing is required, it’s described as pre-mixed and ready to pour.

What kinds of messes is it intended for? The listed targets include coloured stains such as red wine and coffee, plus pet messes.

Can it be used on furniture or in a car? The product information lists fabric furniture, couch cushions, car-seat fabric and car interiors, in addition to carpet and area rugs.

Before buying

The main decision is whether this solution matches your equipment and the kind of cleanup you do. Choose it if you have a Hoover CleanSlate portable spot cleaner and want a pre-mixed option for occasional, targeted spills across several fabric surfaces. It may not be the best fit if you need a whole-carpet cleaning product, use a different machine, or need confirmed guidance for a specific delicate fabric. The bottle’s stated capacity is 946 mL, and the details provided don’t establish compatibility with other cleaner models.
