Hiioors pool filter cartridge 150 sq. ft.

Pool owners replacing a cartridge for a listed Hayward SwimClear model may find this Hiioors filter worth considering, especially if filtration area and a heavier-duty fabric matter to their choice.

It is listed for 150 sq. ft. of filtration and uses 5 oz+ trilobal fabric.

The main decision is fit: it is intended for specific models and replacement numbers, not every pool filter.

Key points

This cartridge is listed as compatible with Hayward SwimClear C150S, CX150XRE and CS150E. It also replaces Pleatco PA150S, Unicel C-9441 and Spa-Daddy SD-01333. The stated dimensions are 23 1/8 inches long, 10 1/8 inches in outside diameter, with 4-inch top and bottom openings. Those details are useful when comparing it with the cartridge already in your system.

The listing describes 5 oz+ trilobal fabric and a 150 sq. ft. filtration area, with a claimed ability to capture particles as small as 10 microns. It also identifies an anti-collapse core and ABS end caps. These are relevant features if you are weighing this against a basic replacement cartridge, though the listing alone cannot establish how long it will last in your pool.

It is stated to be NSF/ANSI 50 certified. The claimed lifespan is up to 24 months, but that is not a guarantee for every pool or cleaning routine. Keep in mind that compatibility is tied to the named models and replacement numbers, dimensions and opening sizes matter if your existing cartridge has a different designation.

Best use cases

This is aimed at owners who need a replacement for one of the listed cartridges and want a substantial filtration area rather than a generic fit. It may also suit someone who prefers a cartridge that can be rinsed with a hose during routine maintenance. For example, after a dusty spell, you could remove it and hose down the pleats to clear trapped debris, then reinstall it if it remains in good condition.

It's a good option if your existing model or part number matches and you want the stated trilobal media and reinforced construction. It may not be the best option if your filter uses a different cartridge size or you need confirmed performance details beyond the product listing.

Tips for day-to-day use

Use the model number and dimensions as the starting point when comparing this cartridge with the one you are replacing. A close-looking cartridge is not necessarily the right fit, particularly where the top and bottom openings differ. The listing describes installation as tool-free, but a correct match is still essential for a proper seal.

For cleaning, the pleat design is described as allowing debris to release during a hose-down. That makes routine rinsing part of the intended upkeep, it does not remove the need to judge the cartridge's condition over time. The listing also claims lower water use during cleaning, but gives no test conditions, so treat that as a product claim rather than a guaranteed saving.

Buying questions

Which filters is it listed for? It names Hayward SwimClear C150S, CX150XRE and CS150E, and replacement references including Pleatco PA150S and Unicel C-9441.

What are the cartridge dimensions? The listing gives 23 1/8 inches in length, 10 1/8 inches outside diameter and 4-inch top and bottom openings.

Can it be cleaned and reused? The product description says the pleats can be rinsed with a hose. It does not specify a cleaning schedule or how many cleaning cycles the cartridge will withstand.

Is it worth it?

Based on the listing, the appeal is specific compatibility paired with 150 sq. ft. of filtration area and heavier trilobal fabric. That makes it a reasonable replacement to consider when the model and dimensions match, particularly if you prefer a rinseable cartridge over replacing a basic filter immediately. If your existing part number is not listed, or its measurements differ, choosing a cartridge confirmed for that filter is the safer route.
