Product description
The 4,000V grid and 365–395nm UV LED lights attract and kill flying insects, giving patios, gardens and other outdoor spaces a chemical-free way to manage mosquitoes, flies and more. Solar charging powers the unit, with USB charging available as a backup.
Choose automatic dusk activation or continuous manual operation, then place the zapper on a table, hang it on a wall or set it on the included ground stake. Its IPX4 rating supports outdoor use in rainy conditions.
How it fits
For a patio table, garden edge or campsite, the choice of three mounting options makes it easier to position the zapper where flying insects are a nuisance. Use the ground stake for placement in the garden, hang it from a wall with the included chain, or set it on a table. The product is also described for indoor use, so it can suit a range of settings where flying insects need attention.
The built-in light sensor handles the daily change from charging to operation in AUTO mode: it charges during the day and activates at dusk. Manual mode runs continuously, offering a straightforward alternative when you want to control when it operates. A full charge provides about 12 hours of runtime, and the stated coverage is up to 2,100 sq. ft.
Why it makes sense
This zapper uses an electrified mesh rather than chemical insect control. The 365–395nm UV LEDs attract flying insects to the 4,000V grid, while the protective outer mesh helps prevent accidental contact. Physical insect control also means no harmful fumes or chemicals. It is designed to target mosquitoes, flies, moths, gnats, fruit flies and other flying insects.
Solar charging is useful for outdoor placement, while the USB charging option provides another way to power it. For example, set it on the ground stake near a patio seating area, select AUTO mode, and let the light sensor activate it at dusk. Its IPX4 rating makes it suitable for use in rain, and the housing can be rinsed directly. A cleaning brush is included to help remove dead insects and keep the unit clear.
Compared with a chemical repellent, this approach uses a UV light and electric grid to control flying insects. It’s a practical fit for someone who wants a rechargeable zapper with flexible placement and automatic operation, rather than a product that relies on sprays or other chemical treatments.
