Fintie iPad Air case, 11-inch

If you want to protect an iPad Air without hiding its back, this Fintie case pairs a clear hard shell with a flexible TPU bumper. Its folding front cover adds a viewing stand and a keyboard-stand position, while a built-in holder keeps a compatible Apple Pencil close by. The fit is specific, though: it is listed for certain iPad Air models, not as a universal tablet case. Check your iPad’s model before choosing it, especially if you have a different generation or size.

Key points

The case is listed for the iPad Air 11-inch (M2, 2024), iPad Air 5th generation (2022) and iPad Air 4th generation (2020), including the model numbers in the product description. The clear rear lets the Apple icon show through, the front has a soft microfibre lining intended to help prevent scratches. A flexible TPU bumper surrounds the hard-shell back, and the tri-fold cover can be set up for viewing or keyboard use.

There are a few practical extras: magnets in the cover wake the iPad when opened and put it to sleep when closed, and the case supports magnetic attachment and wireless charging for Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil 2nd generation. Keep in mind that the case is sold on its own, so the iPad and pencil are not included. It may suit you if you want a cover that combines everyday protection, a stand and pencil storage rather than a plain shell. It may not be the right fit if your priority is a minimalist back-only case or your iPad is not one of the listed models.

Best use cases

This design makes sense for a mix of desk and handheld use. For example, you can fold the cover into a stand to watch a video, then close it over the screen before slipping the iPad into a bag. The keyboard-stand position also gives you a way to prop the tablet up while typing with a compatible keyboard. That is more flexible than a basic snap-on back, but it does mean carrying a folding front cover as well.

The lilac composition and transparent rear give the case a more distinctive look than an opaque cover. The trade-off is that the clear panel is there to show the device, not to conceal its appearance. Ten en cuenta que fit is model-specific: the description explicitly excludes other devices, so matching the model number matters more than relying on a similar screen size.

Tips for day-to-day use

Use the built-in pencil holder when you want to keep your stylus with the iPad between notes or sketches. If you rely on Apple Pencil charging, the listed support is for Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil 2nd generation, the description does not name other pencil models. The folio’s magnets handle automatic wake and sleep when you open and close the cover, which is handy when moving between reading and putting the tablet away.

Before ordering, compare the model number printed for your iPad with the compatible list: A2902/A2903/A2904, A2588/A2589/A2591 or A2072/A2316/A2324/A2325. A case that looks close in size can still be the wrong fit if it is for another device. Also bear in mind that the clear back, bumper and folding cover make this a more feature-focused option than a simple shell, choose a bare-bones cover if you do not need the stand or pencil holder.

Three practical questions

Which iPad Air models does it fit? The listing names the 11-inch M2 model from 2024 and the 10.9-inch 5th- and 4th-generation models, with their model numbers listed above. It says it is not compatible with other devices.

Can I charge a compatible Apple Pencil with the case on? The description says it supports magnetic attachment and wireless charging for Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil 2nd generation while the case is installed.

Does it include the iPad or pencil? No. The listing specifies that this is the case only, other accessories are not included.

Is it worth it?

Consider it if your iPad matches the compatibility list and you want one case to cover the screen, prop up the tablet and carry a supported Apple Pencil, while leaving the rear visible. The combination is more useful for switching between reading, viewing and desk work than a plain back cover. Skip it if you need a case for another model, want the device fully concealed, or do not need the folio and pencil-holder features.
