De'Longhi HFX65V15CA Tower Ceramic Fan Heater, 1500 W, Oscillation and Remote

A portable heater serves a different need from heating an entire home: the De'Longhi HFX65V15CA is designed to add warmth where you are, with a fan-only mode for air circulation in warmer months. Its ceramic heating, motorized oscillation and 1500-watt output are aimed at small indoor spaces and individual comfort.

A programmable thermostat, ECO function, 24-hour timer and remote give you several ways to adjust that comfort. The tower format is floor-mounted, and the integrated handle is designed to make moving it easier.

Key takeaways

The HFX65V15CA combines a ceramic heater and fan in one indoor unit. Use its multiple heat settings and adjustable thermostat to set a preferred level, or select ECO mode, which adjusts heat and power settings automatically. Oscillation spreads warmth across a wider area than a fixed direction, while the fan-only setting supports air circulation without using the heating function.

The controls are digital, with a full-function remote for changing settings from across the room. Built-in safety features include two-stage overheat protection, thermal shutoff, a thermal fuse and an internal tip-over switch that turns the unit off if it falls. These features are useful considerations for a portable floor heater, but do not replace following the product’s operating instructions.

Practical tips

The listed dimensions are 10.1D x 8.4W x 25H centimetres, which can help when deciding where a tower-style heater will sit. It is intended for indoor use and floor mounting. Plan its position around the room you want to warm, rather than treating it as a replacement for heating the whole home. In a bedroom or living room, the timer can be set for scheduled operation, while the remote avoids having to reach the controls each time.

Use ECO mode when you want the unit to adjust its heat and power settings, or choose a specific heat setting and thermostat level instead. The product also has a cool-touch handle and controls for operation and relocation. As with any portable heater, keep its placement and use consistent with the manufacturer’s safety instructions.

Best use cases

This model is suited to adding warmth in a small room or near one person, with oscillation for broader coverage and a fan-only option for seasonal air circulation. For example, it could provide local warmth while working in a home office, rather than turning up the heat throughout the home. If your priority is room-by-room comfort with a timer and remote, those controls make it more adaptable than a basic heater with only manual settings.

Buyer feedback is positive about heat output and general performance, with some people describing rooms warming quickly. Comments on noise, temperature control and the remote are mixed, however. That variation matters if you plan to use it while sleeping or need the thermostat to maintain a very specific temperature.

Is it worth it?

It’s a good fit if you want a tower-style ceramic heater for targeted indoor warmth, and value oscillation, programmable controls, a timer and fan-only operation in the same unit. Its stated safety features and carry handle also support everyday use as a movable room heater.

You may want to skip it if quiet operation is essential: buyer comments differ on how noticeable the sound is. Feedback on maintaining the selected temperature and on the remote is also mixed, so those features may not suit everyone equally. For supplemental heat in a small space, the combination of heating and fan modes is the main reason to choose this model over a simpler, heat-only approach.
