BOTSLAB wireless doorbell camera 810SE

The 5W solar panel is the standout feature of the BOTSLAB 810SE: it’s designed to keep the built-in 5200mAh battery charged, with the stated 365-day battery life based on two hours of direct sunlight daily. That could mean fewer battery changes at a front door that gets reliable sun, though the runtime claim depends on those conditions.

Its 2K HDR video and 180° diagonal view are aimed at showing visitors and parcels in one frame. The camera also has two-way audio, motion alerts and weather protection.

Best use cases

This wireless doorbell camera makes most sense where you want to check who’s at the door or see whether a delivery has arrived without opening it. Picture a parcel being left on the porch while you’re in another room: package detection can send an alert, and two-way audio lets you respond through the BOTSLAB app. Quick-reply options are included for brief instructions to a visitor or driver.

It suits you if you want a broad view of the entryway and prefer solar charging to regular battery swaps. Installation is described as using either the included adhesive or screws, with no electrician required, the doorbell is also listed as compatible with an existing chime. If the entrance is shaded, though, the panel may not get the stated two hours of direct sunlight each day, so the battery-life figure may not reflect your setup.

Product specs

The 810SE records in 2K HD with HDR and a 180° diagonal field of view. It has a built-in 5200mAh battery, a 5W solar panel, IP66 weatherproofing and a stated operating range of -4°F to 122°F. It supports two-way audio and works with Alexa and Google Assistant, the product description also says doorbell rings can display on Echo Show or Fire TV.

For storage, the listing includes a one-month trial of rolling cloud storage with a seven-day history. A microSD card of up to 256GB is supported for local storage. The “no monthly fee” positioning is most relevant if local storage suits you, the cloud trial itself is not the same as ongoing cloud storage at no cost. The description does not specify whether a microSD card is included.

Where it shines

The useful combination here is a wide view with package and human detection, rather than video alone. The listing says human detection filters out animals, vehicles and shadows, and that detection zones can be customized. It also claims a 97% reduction in false alerts, treat that as a stated performance claim, not a guarantee for every porch or setting. Would you rather get a parcel alert than check a live feed repeatedly? That’s the kind of task these features are intended to help with.

Compared with a simpler doorbell camera that only shows a visitor, the 810SE adds solar charging, package alerts and smart-assistant integration. The trade-off is that its battery advantage relies on sunlight, and its specified temperature range may not suit an entryway exposed to conditions outside those limits. It is not for you if your main requirement is dependable solar charging in a consistently shaded spot.

Final decision

Choose the BOTSLAB 810SE if a wide-angle view, delivery monitoring and fewer manual battery changes are your priorities, and the panel can receive direct sun. If your doorway is shaded, or you need operation beyond the stated temperature range, a camera with a power setup better matched to those conditions is a more sensible fit.
