BN-LINK SU101D 7-Day Programmable In-Wall Timer Switch, 18 Programs

Some households want a light switch that works on demand, others need lights or fans to follow a routine without daily adjustments. The BN-LINK SU101D combines manual control with programmable scheduling, so you can choose the approach that suits the moment and set recurring on/off times for your home.

Its seven-day schedule offers up to 18 on/off programs, with options for individual days or preset combinations. A blue backlight makes the controls easier to see when programming in a dim room.

Tips for day-to-day use

Set the timer for regular routines such as turning an entryway light on in the evening or managing a fan at planned times. Programs can use intervals as short as one minute, giving you flexibility over when connected equipment switches on and off. Choose AUTO for scheduled operation or MANUAL when you want direct control.

When you’re away, Random mode can shift on and off times by 0–30 minutes to create the appearance of activity. Daylight Saving Time functionality helps keep the clock aligned with seasonal time changes, while the built-in rechargeable backup battery preserves settings during a power outage. Want your lighting routine to feel less fixed while you’re travelling? The random schedule adds variation without requiring daily attention.

Pros

The SU101D is designed for single-pole and compatible 3-way installations, letting you control the same light from two locations when the wiring setup supports it. That can be useful in a hallway, stairway, garage or larger room where a switch at each end helps with everyday access. It also works with lights, fans and motors, making scheduled control useful beyond a single lighting routine.

The 18-program capacity supports different on/off times across the week, while the backlit display helps with setting those schedules. Buyers commonly highlight the switch’s functionality and programmability. Feedback on convenience, instructions, size and timer features is mixed, so the main appeal is the range of scheduling and control options rather than a single experience that suits every household.
