BN-LINK CECOMINOD049781 Outdoor Timer, 15A, Two Grounded Outlets

Why it makes sense

Some outdoor lights need to follow the changing evening light, others only need to run for a set period. This BN-LINK timer gives you both approaches, with a built-in photocell for dusk-to-dawn control and countdown settings for lights you’d rather switch off before morning. Its mechanical dial keeps setup direct: choose a mode at the outlet instead of relying on Wi-Fi, an app or a programmed schedule.

Two grounded outlets let one timer control two compatible outdoor devices. That makes it a practical fit for a pair of seasonal light displays, or for coordinating garden lighting with another device such as a fountain, sprinkler or pump, within the rated load. The selected setting repeats daily, so there’s no need to reset the timer each evening.

Getting the most from it

For automatic evening lighting, select dusk-to-dawn mode and the photocell will turn connected devices on at dusk and off at dawn. If a display or pathway lights don’t need to stay on all night, choose a 2-, 4-, 6- or 8-hour countdown instead. Manual ON and OFF modes are also available when you want direct control.

The weatherproof design is intended for outdoor use. Hang the timer vertically at least 2 ft above the ground to help reduce water entry during rain or snow. Before connecting devices such as pumps or fountains, make sure their combined requirements are within the timer’s 125V/15A, 1/2HP rating.

This dial-based setup suits anyone who wants recurring outdoor control without app-based programming. Buyers often appreciate the straightforward setup and timer function, while feedback on overall functionality and durability is mixed. The selectable modes make it easy to tailor operation to a particular display or outdoor device rather than leaving everything on until morning.
