Alloyman JND-LLJ-01 20V Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer, 16-Inch Dual Blades

Reach the upper and outer branches of a hedge while shaping shrubs around the yard with the Alloyman JND-LLJ-01 cordless pole hedge trimmer. Its telescoping pole extends up to 8 feet, and the 16-inch hardened-steel dual-action blades are designed to cut branches up to 3/4 inch thick. Two 20V, 4.0Ah batteries and a charger are included, so you can alternate batteries as you work.

Key features

The extended pole is the defining advantage over a standard handheld hedge trimmer: it gives you a longer reach for trimming taller or wider hedges without relying on a short blade at the end of your arms. When the pole is unfolded, it reaches up to 8 feet, when folded, it is easier to store. The 16-inch dual-action blades are made from hardened steel and cut at 1400spm, giving you a practical setup for shaping shrubs and maintaining hedge growth. The stated cutting capacity is branches up to 3/4 inch thick.

This cordless model runs on 20V batteries. Two 4.0Ah batteries and a charger come with the trimmer, and a single battery is specified to run for up to 45 minutes. Alternating between the two batteries lets you continue yard work with a charged battery ready to use. The lithium-ion batteries also have overload and temperature protection.

On-body feel

The rear handle rotates 180°, helping you adjust your grip to the angle of the hedge, while the ergonomic non-slip rubber handle is designed for a secure hold. An included shoulder strap provides another support point when working with the extended pole. Together, these features are useful when moving along a hedge face or changing the cutting angle to reach different sections.

Buyer feedback highlights ease of use and manageable operation, with positive comments about battery life. Opinions on the tool’s weight are mixed, so the rotating handle and shoulder strap are useful features to consider when planning longer trimming sessions.

Practical tips

For a tidy routine, work along the hedge in sections and adjust the rear handle as the cutting angle changes. Use the double-switch design as intended to help guard against accidental activation, and follow the manual for assembly and operation. After trimming, fit the included blade sheath for storage. The package also includes the extension pole, two batteries, a charger and the manual, so the key parts for setup and routine care are together.

If you are choosing between a handheld trimmer and a pole format, the pole is especially useful when the job involves reaching higher hedge growth or shaping shrubs from a little farther away. For lower, close-in sections, the same 16-inch blades provide a defined cutting width without relying on a larger cutting head.
