## Description

The 1/2-inch die gives this manual grommet tool a defined format for setting eyelets in fabric, leather, canvas, and other listed materials.

A magnetic die helps align the grommet during setup, and the handheld pliers press it into place without a separate pre-punching step.

With 300 sets of 12 mm grommets, the kit is suited to craft projects and practical work on items such as tarps, banners, bags, clothing, and posters.

## Tips for day-to-day use
Set the washer in the lower mold and position the eyelet in the upper mold, then place the material in the tool and press. The magnetic die is designed to help keep the grommet aligned as you work. This straightforward sequence can be useful when adding eyelets to a project or making a finished opening for a tarp, sign, or piece of clothing.

The manual, handheld format keeps the setting process in one tool rather than relying on a hammer and separate setting pieces. That makes it a practical approach for individual craft and repair tasks where controlled placement matters. Use the tool on materials suited to your project, such as leather, canvas, fabric, tarps, or banner material.

## What stands out
The magnetic die is the key convenience feature: it helps position the grommet for pressing and removes the need to punch a hole separately, according to the product details. For a home project, that can simplify adding eyelets to a poster or fabric panel, for utility work, it provides a handheld way to fit them to tarps, awnings, and similar materials. The included 300 sets also give you a supply for multiple projects, rather than a tool alone.

Buyer feedback commonly describes the tool as easy to use and useful across different materials. Some customers compare the process favorably with setting eyelets by hand using a hammer, while others raise concerns about the tool breaking after limited use. These reports are individual experiences, not a measure of how every tool will perform, but they offer helpful context alongside the magnetic alignment feature and manual press design.

Compared with a hammer-based setting method, this kit brings the die and pressing action together in handheld pliers. That format suits shoppers who want a dedicated tool for placing grommets on craft materials, signage, or outdoor covers, rather than assembling a separate hammer-and-set setup for each task.

## Buying verdict
The zonglan ZL12-01 is a focused choice for projects that call for 1/2-inch-die manual setting and a supply of 12 mm grommet sets. Its magnetic mold supports alignment, and its applications span creative work like bags and clothing as well as practical materials like canvas, leather, and tarps. It’s a great fit if you want a portable, hand-operated way to add eyelets across a range of home crafting and repair projects.
