ZHXR Spare Tire Cover, 14-Inch
Product description
When a spare tire rides outside on an RV, trailer, SUV, or truck, it is exposed to weather and road grime between trips. This ZHXR cover is designed to shield a 14-inch spare and give the back or side of the vehicle a tidier look.
Its vintage bald eagle and American flag design makes the cover visible as well as practical. The fabric is heavy-duty polyester, with an elasticized back hem and a quick-connect clip for securing it.
The key buying check is fit: the listing specifies a 14-inch tire diameter, but does not give tire-width or sidewall measurements.
Fit and sizing
The cover is intended for most spare tires with a 14-inch diameter and is listed for use on RVs, travel trailers, campers, SUVs, trucks, vans, and boat trailers. “Universal” does not mean it will fit every spare in those vehicle types, the tire itself still needs to match the stated diameter. If your spare is a different size, this is not the one to choose based on vehicle type alone.
Installation is designed to be straightforward: pull the elasticized hem around the tire, then use the quick-connect clip to help hold the cover in place. If the cover is meant to stay on through a highway drive, isn’t its fastening just as important as the fabric? That combination is a useful detail for a spare mounted outside, where a loose cover could be inconvenient. Still, the listing does not provide a fit range beyond the 14-inch diameter, so tire width and shape may matter in practice.
It’s a great fit if your exposed spare measures 14 inches in diameter and you want weather shielding with a decorative flag-and-eagle look. It may not suit you if you need a cover for another tire size or want exact measurements to match a particularly wide spare.
Pros
- Heavy-duty polyester and rugged stitching are intended for extended outdoor exposure.
- The cover helps shield the spare from sun, rain, mud, and road grime.
- An elasticized hem and quick-connect clip provide two ways to help keep it in place.
- The printed design conceals an exposed wheel and adds a more finished look than leaving the spare uncovered.
A practical example: on a travel trailer parked between trips, the cover can sit over the rear spare to reduce direct exposure to weather and keep the wheel from looking bare. It is a protective cover, though, not a replacement tire or a solution for damage already present on the wheel. Compared with a plain, undecorated cover, this one puts more emphasis on appearance, shoppers who want a low-profile look may prefer a simpler design.
Spec sheet
- Name: ZHXR Vintage Bald Eagle American Flag Spare Tire Cover
- Type: Spare tire cover
- Size: Designed for most 14-inch-diameter spare tires
- Material: Heavy-duty polyester
- Fit features: Elasticized back hem and quick-connect clip
- Intended vehicles: RV, travel trailer, camper, SUV, truck, van, or boat trailer
The listing describes the cover as suitable for outdoor use and travel, but does not specify a weatherproof rating, exact dimensions, or a measured tire-width range. Those details would help narrow the fit more confidently. The stated diameter is the most useful starting point on the spec sheet, check the spare itself rather than relying only on the vehicle category.
Final verdict
This ZHXR spare tire cover makes sense when your priority is covering an exposed 14-inch spare with a weather-shielding polyester layer and a distinctive American flag design. The fastening details are practical for a cover that may travel on the outside of a vehicle. Choose it if the tire diameter matches and the graphic suits your setup, skip it if your spare is a different size or you need verified width and depth measurements before buying.
