Zephyr Place Outdoor Roller Shade, 7' x 6', Cordless HDPE with 90% UV Protection
Product description
At 7' W x 6' H, this black outdoor roller shade is sized for a patio, porch, gazebo, or pergola. Its HDPE fabric is described as blocking up to 90% of UV rays while still allowing some view through. Would a manual, cordless shade suit your setup? This one rolls up for adjustable coverage and mounts outside.
Fit and sizing
The listed size is 84" W x 72" H, matching the 7' W x 6' H stated in the product name. Measure the intended opening and account for the outside-mount brackets when planning placement, the manufacturer notes that listed product dimensions include the left and right brackets. The shade is intended for outdoor use and can also be used as a window shade. Wall or ceiling mounting is described, with mounting hardware included.
The fabric is high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and the product is presented as a breathable screen that reduces sunlight and glare without completely blocking the view. That makes it a different approach from a fully opaque covering: it can provide shade and some privacy while keeping the area visually open. The advertised UV protection is up to 90%, not complete light or sun blockage.
What stands out
Operation is manual and cordless, with a crank system described for raising and lowering the shade. The spliced-pole design is intended to make the long components easier to handle during shipping and assembly. For a typical use case, it could be lowered over a seating area during a bright afternoon, then rolled up when you want the opening clear.
Buyer feedback is positive about installation and sun protection, with some customers mentioning the included template and reduced sun exposure on patio furniture. Opinions on material quality and operation are mixed, however. Some describe the fabric as thick and the shade as easy to use, while others report winding issues or question the material. A few also report that the top or bottom pipes bent in windy conditions, so the feedback does not support treating it as a substitute for a rigid wind barrier.

Practical questions
Does the fabric block the view completely? No. The product description presents it as breathable and says it provides privacy without fully obstructing the view.
Can it be installed on a wall or ceiling? Both mounting approaches are described, and mounting hardware is listed as included. The product is specified for outside mounting.
Is it designed to withstand wind? The manufacturer describes fixing clips for keeping the shade in place, but some buyers report bending pipes in windy conditions. If the area is exposed, that feedback is worth considering before choosing it.
When it makes sense
It suits you if you want an outdoor shade with a defined 84" W x 72" H size, cordless manual operation, and fabric that filters sunlight while retaining some visibility. You may want to skip it if your main requirement is a rigid screen for a consistently windy spot, since buyer feedback raises concerns about the poles bending. For a sheltered patio or pergola where adjustable sun coverage matters more than complete blockage, its format and roll-up design are the more relevant reasons to consider it.
