## Description

For cat owners seeking a roomy window-side resting spot for a larger cat, the Zakkart Mellow offers a three-sided perch with an open front and a frame designed to support up to 40 lbs. Its dual-mount setup gives you two ways to place it: hook it onto a compatible windowsill slot or screw the base onto a wooden sill. The soft bed provides a place to curl up, stretch out, and watch the outdoors.

The removable bed is machine washable, and its spring-button release makes it easy to take off for care. Choose the mounting method that suits your windowsill and your cat’s favorite sunny spot.

## Technical overview
The perch combines an ABS and metal frame with a polyester bed. Its open-front design gives cats an unobstructed place to settle in and look outside, while the spacious Large bed gives them room to lounge. The bed attaches through a sewn-in fabric tunnel and releases from the frame with a spring button, making removal straightforward when it is time to wash.

- Type: Three-sided cat window perch
- Size: Large (24 x 15.5 inches)
- Dimensions: 24 x 15.5 x 6 inches
- Material: ABS, metal, and polyester
- Weight capacity: Up to 40 lbs
- Care: Machine-washable bed, tumble dry on low

The hook-on bracket adjusts for windowsills up to 9 inches deep. For a sill without a slot, the base can be secured to a wooden windowsill with four screws. This gives you a choice between a removable hook-on arrangement and a more fixed screw-on mount, depending on the window setup.

## Compatibility & requirements
For hook-on installation, the windowsill needs a slot at least 0.5 inches deep, the hook is 0.08 inches thick. The adjustable bracket fits windowsills up to 9 inches deep. If your sill has no suitable slot, the screw-on method is designed for wooden windowsills and uses four screws. Follow the supplied assembly instructions and select the mounting method that matches the sill.

A windowsill extender is available separately for creating a solid, flat base. It can be useful when you want to extend the resting surface. Once mounted, the perch gives your cat a dedicated place beside the window without taking up floor space, which can make a favorite viewing spot part of the room’s everyday layout.

## Getting the most from it
Place the perch at a window your cat already likes to watch from, then choose the mounting style that suits that sill. The hook-on setup can be lifted off and moved between rooms, so you can reposition the resting spot when needed. With screw-on mounting, the anchor stays in place while the frame can be removed using its built-in pin design.

For routine care, press the spring button to release the bed, then machine wash it and tumble dry on low. Buyers often highlight that cats take to the perch, and also describe assembly as easy and the structure as sturdy. These comments reflect customer impressions, the listed weight capacity is up to 40 lbs.

## Is it worth it?
This perch makes sense for someone choosing a window bed that offers more than one mounting approach, a removable washable sleeping surface, and a stated capacity suited to larger cats. Compared with a perch that relies on a single installation style, the hook-on and screw-on options let you match the setup to the sill: use the slot-based hook when the window has a compatible opening, or secure the base to a wooden sill with screws. For a cat that enjoys stretching out, sunbathing, or watching outdoor activity, the Large open-front bed brings those routines together in one window-side resting place.
